Hey Guys!
Today I wanted to share my latest fragrances from Luxury Scent Box! Check out my Unboxing video below showing some of their latest fragrances as well as new case colors! Also under the video I have more information about the service as well as a COUPON CODE making your first box only $10! Enjoy!

Luxury Scent Box is a monthly Fragrance service that delivers a .30oz or 9ml bottle of perfume or cologne right to your door every month! These scents are 100% authentic designer fragrances and are available in Male and Female scents. Read until the end to find out how you can get your 1st months box for only $10!

Once you sign up, they ask you to fill out a scent profile so they can recommend fragrances that you might like. You don’t have to choose any of these and can freely search on your own what scent you want to try next. One of the features I really like is the Calendar. This allows you to pick the fragrance you are getting each month. This is great for a person like me who likes to change up my scent with each season/holiday. I like to wear more light clean scents in the spring, fruity in the summer, warm and vanilla in the fall, and musky and sultry in the winter. I love the Luxury Scent box allows me to try a new fragrance every month at a low price!

Luxury Scent Box is $15 + FREE SHIPPING! You can get $5 off your first month making it only $10 with code “CHANNINGCOUTURE5” HERE. They also have a Premium level where you get more expensive perfume as well as a new case each month. This one is only $18 or $13 with my code!

With your first box you get a colored case to hold your scent that is easy to travel with and each new fragrance pops easily into it. All you have to do is twist up and the scent is ready to use so you never have to worry about the fragrance accidentally spraying in your bag, pocket, suitcase, etc. Every quarter they also send you a new seasonally colored case to switch out.

Another great thing about this box is it is a month to month service so you can cancel at any time! This is perfect if you want to just try out 1 fragrance or even give the box as a gift! I LOVE getting people subscription boxes as gifts whether it is for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months!

I HIGHLY recommend giving this box a try. If you don’t want to get a fragrance every month just use my code and try one for $10! You can always sign up for another box when that fragrance runs out. Getting these fragrances is a STEAL and you will love trying out a new one every month I PROMISE! Don’t forget to use code “CHANNINGCOUTURE5” for $5 off your first month HERE.  Enjoy!

April Battle of the Boxes| Ipsy Vs. Play by Sephora Unboxing and Review

Follow

Hey Guys!
Today I have my Ipsy and Play by Sephora Unboxings! Both are $10 a month and full of the latest and greatest beauty goodies! Check out my video below!

Ipsy Theme: Side Show

Items: 5

Full sized: 3

The bag this month was super cool because it was shaped like a movie ticket! I love that Ipsy’s bags are becoming so different and unique!

The first item I received was a full sized Glamour Dolls Lisa Frank Angled Blush Brush that retails for $5. This is a pre-launch item meaning it is not yet available for anyone other than Ipsy subscribers. I love the Lisa Frank details on the handle because it takes me back to my childhood. The bristles are white with pink tips which also adds to the whimsical feel. I have used this brush to set my under eyes, brush away powder and to softly contour. I love it! The angle is perfect and the bristles are soft without being too soft. Pre-order your brush HERE.

The next item I received was a sample of the Aloe Soothing Gel from Hanalei. This is an aloe gel that you can smooth over the skin after sun exposure to help calm down any burns or inflammation you might experience. It helps to cool and refresh the skin and can also be used as a primer! I haven’t used this yet as I am saving it for my June Florida Vacation. Get 30% off HERE with code “ALOE30”.

Next I received the Meg Twin Nail polish in Lovey Dovey which retails for $10. This is a twin pack of a dusty nude and a blue gray polish. Since removing my acrylic nails I am trying to nurse my nails back to health so I have been keeping them bare. I love these colors and can’t wait to try them out! They seem to be more fall like colors then spring/summer so I will be holding onto them. Get 30% off HERE with code “IPSY30”.

Next I pulled out a sample of the Ciate London Mini Bamboo Bronzer in Star Island. This is a matte bronzer that also has oil controlling properties which I really like since I have oily skin. This formula is super smooth and buttery. I like to use it to softly contour my temples and cheeks along with the Lisa Frank brush I received. This color is also perfect for my skin tone without looking too harsh or orange. Get 30% off HERE with code “IPSTER”.

The final product I received was a full sized TonyMoly Liptone Lipcare in Rose Blossom that retails for $10. First off the packaging is super cute! Also, it feels AMAZING on my lips! It keeps them super moisturized and super soft. I HIGHLY recommend picking one up! They have a few other flavors! Get 20% off $45+ order plus a free gift HERE with code “IPSYTM”.

Overall I loved this bag. I thought the variety was great and am getting so much use out of the items! Don’t forget to subscribe HERE for only $10 a month!

Sephora Theme: Step it Up

Items: 6

The first item I pulled out was the Make Up For Ever XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner in Matte Black. This is such a creamy pigmented formula. I use this on my upper water line. I have super bad allergies and constantly am sneezing and have watery eyes. This means that my eyeliner usually transfers from the top to the bottom. I can never seem to find one that doesn't transfer. This one unfortunatly does transfer a little but isn't too bad. I reccommend this formula because it is smooth and creamy and is waterproof. Check it out HERE.

The next item I received was the Sephora Collection Waterproof eye makeup remover. This is a remover that is supposed to be hydrating, and also can be used on face and eye makeup. Before using you must shake to activate the formula. I used this on my eyemakeup but not my face makeup. I put some of this on my cotton ball and wiped my eyes. It took about 2 cotton balls per eye to completley remove. It didn't sting or irritate which was nice. I recommend trying this out! Check it out HERE

Next I received 2 samples of the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recoery Peel. This is a peel that is good for uneven skin tone, wrinkles, aging, and lack of firmneess. After cleansing you are supposed rub this on dry skin. I like that they sent 2 of these. I have never tried a peel in this form before. I haven't tried it yet but am excited to do so! If you have sensitive skin I recommend waiting a week between treatments. Check it out HERE.

The next item I pulled out is a sample of the Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer from Smashbox. This is actually the first product that Smashbox ever created which is awesome. This primer is supposed to go on smooth, fill in fine lines, and help shrink enlarged pores. I actually don't really like this primer. It's not bad but not good at the same time. It is a little too slippery for my taste and doesn't really do anything for my oily skin. I think if you had normal or maybe dryer skin you would really like this! Check it out HERE.

Next I pulled out the Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Face Mask. This samples size is super great and I love this mask! This mask is supposed to provide and instant glow and help out with uneven texture and skin tone. I really like this because it makes my skin super smooth. I haven't tried it enough to see if it helps with uneven skin tone but I hope I see results soon. I HIGHLY reccomend checking it out HERE.

The fragrance this month is Pinrose Secret Genius. This perfume is a blend of madagascar vanilla, and carmamel. This smells super warm, inviting, and soft and seems like more of a fall or winter scent. Even though I like the way this smells, it smells like a generic vanilla bodyspray. If you are a huge fan of vanilla scents I would recommend checking this out HERE.

March Boxycharm Unboxing and Review!| Over $140 value!

Follow

Hi Guys!

Today I am unboxing my March Boxycharm box for you. Boxycharm is $21 a month and promises 5 deluxe to full sized samples! Most boxes contain all full sized items! This month I got 4 full sized and 1 travel sized item. Subscribe HERE. Check out my unboxing video below as well as individual reviews and links to each product below that. Enjoy!

The first item I received was a full sized RealHer lip liner that retails for $12.50. The color is a beautiful creamy nude color. It would go with so many different nude colors in my collection. I love that it is creamy and doesn't drab on my lips and is super long lasting. You can even wear it by itself. It doesn't settle in any lines and is great at over lining lips. Check it out HERE and get 10% off with code "Boxycharm".

To go along with the lip liner I also got a full sized RealHer matte liquid lipstick that retails for $15. The color is a little bit of a lighter nude than the lip liner. I personally am not a fan of this color or formula. The color is a bit too light for me and washes me out. Also, it dries super sticky on my lips and shows a lot of the lines. I am open to trying out other colors but I will be passing this along. Check it out HERE and get 10% off with code "Boxycharm".

Next I received a travel size of the Photo Finish Primer from Smashbox that retails for $16. I learned that this was the first product that Smashbox made so that's really cool. This primer instantly blurs fine lines and wrinkles and helps to minimize pores and keep makeup looking great all day. This has a very silicone type feel. This feels really great on the skin and doesn't feel heavy or greasy. I enjoy this primer and will use the whole tube! Check it out HERE

I also received a full sized SS023 Deluxe Fan Brush from Crown brushes that retails for $18.99. This brush is super full and soft and can be used multiple ways. I like to use it for a soft contour, or to brush off powder after I have baked my face. I love the unique shape of it and how full it is. I would recommend adding this to your collection. Check it out HERE and get 30% off with code "BCSSO23".

The final product I received was the Urban Rustic Palette from Naked Cosmetics which retails for $39.99. This is an eye shadow palette that has 3 beautiful metallic jewel tone shades. The colors are orange, maroon, and green. All are super metallic and pigmented. They go smoothly onto he lid and blend out like a dream. I think all colors can be worn everyday or used to create a colorful smokey eye. If you like super opaque jewel tones I HIGHLY recommend this palette. Check it out HERE and get 30% off with code "BOXY30".

Overall I loved this box! I love the variety as well as the sizes! My favorite is the eye shadow. I loved that Boxycharm sent out a non neutral palette. I can't wait to create many looks with all my new products. Subscribe HERE.

Spring Beautycon Unboxing+ Review!| Over $140 worth of products!

Follow

Hey guys!

Today I have the Spring Box from Beautycon to show you! This is a quarterly/seasonally box that ships out 4 times a year and is packed with the latest beauty products! Usually the box is curated by a popular Youtube/ Social Media Star but I don’t see anyone’s name on the box this month. This box is $35.99 a season. You can get 20% off by signing up HERE. I get my box at the beginning of the 3 month period so you still have time to sign up if you really like this box! Beautycon’s box is always full of over $100 worth of full sized and travel sized products! I really enjoy this subscription. Check out my Unboxing of the box below as well as direct links to products and swatches.

The first product I received was the Cargo Cosmetics Around the World Eye shadow Palette that retails for $34! I own another Cargo eye shadow Palette that I really enjoy so I was excited to see this one. This contains 12 neutral shadows with 6 being matte and 6 being shimmery. It also comes with a double sided eye shadow brush. The brush isn’t very high quality but that doesn’t bother me as I have other brushes. The shadows are a mix of some being highly pigmented and some being more chalky. I found that the lighter shades didn’t show up very well on me and seem a bit powdery. The deeper shades are highly pigmented and super smooth. Overall I think this is a decent palette for the price. If you are a fan of neutrals I say check it out HERE. See swatches below.

The next product I pulled out was The BrowGal Convertible Powder to Pomade Universal Eyebrow Palette which retails for $35. This palette has 3 shades inside ranging from dark to light. I use the lightest one on my brows. I like that they sent this because I feel like everyone's brow color is covered and you can mix and match the shades for a custom look. You can use this product dry as a powder or get it wet to turn it into a pomade. I haven’t tried it wet yet but will give it a try! The color payoff is there but it isn’t too intense. It leaves such a soft natural look and a little goes along way. Check out my brow photo below! This also came with a high quality dual ended spooly/angled brow brush that I use with it and it works amazingly! I HIGHLY recommend picking up this products HERE. See swatches below.

Next up is the NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick in Rose Petal which retails for $8. This is a cream formula that is a very pigmented coral pink color with slight shimmer in it. It can be applied right on the cheeks and it blends out and sets into a powder. The color is intense so a little goes along way. Because I have oily skin I personally am scared of cream products over my foundation. I can never seem to blend them out without disturbing my foundation or they stain my skin and don’t look right. Although this is a pretty formula I am going to pass this along to someone who has more skills than me and will use it more. Check it out HERE. See swatches below.

I also received a Dirty Little Secret Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in the color Rush which retails for $14. This is a beautiful formula that is opaque in 1 coat and lasts all day through light eating and drinking! It doesn’t dry out the lips and is super comfortable. The packaging is a cute white polka dotted container and the applicator is precise enough to give a crisp line. Check it out HERE. See swatch below and in previous brow picture.

Next up was a pack of the Garnier Micellar makeup removing towelettes valued at $6. The only time I use makeup removing wipes is to either remove hand swatches, remove lipstick when I get home, or remove my makeup before the gym. I like these because they seem to do a great job at breaking down my makeup quickly and don’t seem to leave a residue behind. I also like that they are fragrance free! Check them out HERE.

I received a Luxie 516 Duo Fiber brush valued at $22 this month. I have quite a collection of Luxie brushes now thanks to my various subscription services. This brush is vegan and is supposed to be used to blend out powders. I used it to blend out the NYX check product and it worked OK. I wish it was a bit denser but it got the job done. Check it out HERE.

I also received the IBY Beauty Mineral Pressed Blush in the color Peach Sheen valued at $14. This is a beautiful coral peach color with a gorgeous gold/champagne shimmer throughout. I have noticed the latest trend in check products is highlighter/blush combos. I don’t normally wear blush but I do really like this color and formula! It has great color payoff but isn’t too intense so it is build able. It can also be used as an eye shadow! I also heard it is a close dupe of the NARS orgasm blush. Check it out HERE. See swatches below.

Next I got a sample of the Nuxe Multipurpose Dry oil valued at $7. This is a shimmery gold oil that can be applied to the skin, hair, and face. I won’t be applying this to my face but I will try it out on my body and hair. I am saving this for my Sister Getaway Vacation to Florida in July! Check it out HERE. See swatches below.

Another hair care item I received was the OGX Orchid Oil valued at $8. This is a lightweight spray that helps protect and nourish color treated hair. You can also use it if you don’t have color treated hair such as myself. This stuff smells delicious and the bottle is super pretty. I have so many leave in hair products that I will be passing this along to someone who has color treated hair. Check it out HERE.

Overall the value this month is AMAZING at $146+! This is probably one of my favorite Beautycon boxes that I have received. I love Beautycon because they send such a variety of items at different price points and always seem to kill it! Don’t forget to subscribe HERE.

March Battle of the Boxes| Ipsy Vs. Play by Sephora Unboxings + Review!

Follow

Hey Guys! Check out my unboxing video below to see what I received in my March Ipsy and Play By Sephora boxes. Both are $10 a month and are always full of amazing things! Below the video I have links to the products as well as coupon codes.

Ipsy theme: Tres Jolie Items: 5 Fullsized: 2

The first item I received was a full size of the Eyeko Fat Eye Stick in Satin which retails for about $7. This eye shadow stick is super pigmented and has a metallic pewter sheen. It is so richly pigmented and the formula is extra creamy and doesn’t tug on the eyelid. I like to wear this either super saturated all over my lid for an intense metallic look or smoked out for a soft sparkle. See swatch below. Check it out HERE.

The next item I received was a sample of the Tarteist Lip Paint in the color Delish from Tarte. This is a smooth mousse like liquid lipstick that is long lasting and transfer proof. The color is a beautiful deep mauve nude that would look great on all skin tones. The formula is super lightweight and not drying at all. I think I might pick up some more colors! See swatch below. Get 20% off all Tarte products HERE with code “IPSYMAR”.

Next I pulled out a Beau Gachis Tapered Blending Brush that retails for about $12.00. I LOVE this brush! It is the perfect size to get right in the crease and blend out shadows. It also isn’t too stiff or too flimsy which is what I love and it is super soft! It can also be used to place highlight in precise spots. Get 25% off HERE with code “beautifulipsters25”.

The next item I received was the Pur Cosmetics Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer in the color Light. This concealer has a unique “Diamond Complex” that is supposed to reflect light away from imperfections and can be used under the eyes and on blemishes. Unfortunately I do not like this. The color is way to yellow tinted for me and didn’t do anything for my under eyes. I thought maybe the yellow would help diminish the dark circles but it didn’t cover anything and felt heavy. I do not recommend this. Check it out HERE.

The final product I received was the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer. This is great for sensitive skin and is a more lightweight version of their Repair cream so it is perfect to wear during the day. I passed this along to my Mom as I already have a billion moisturizers I need to get through. She says she loves the formula and how hydrating but light it feels on the skin. Get 15” off HERE with code “IPSY0317”.

Overall I enjoyed this month’s bag. The Tarte lip paint was a real winner for me as I will most likely be picking up the full sized one or another color. As always I love the variety and sample sizes in Ipsy and the pink and rose gold bag this month was super cute! Subscribe HERE for only $10!!!

Sephora: Glow Getters Items: 6

The fragrance I received this month was the Chloe Fleur De Parfum. I love this scent! It is super light, fresh, and clean and perfect for Spring! The top notes are rose petals followed by freesia, cherry blossoms, and soft woods. It lasts all day and doesn’t smell overpowering. Check it out HERE.

The next product I received was a sample of the Watts Up Highlighter from Benefit. This is a cream champagne colored highlighter that is perfect for the inner corner or to highlight the brow bone. I have used this many times before and am happy to have it back in my collection. My favorite way to wear it is blended out under the brow bone. It is super creamy and lasts all day long.  See swatch below. Check it out HERE.

I also received a sample of the Bobbi Brown  Long Wear Cream to Shadow Stick in the Color Golden Pink. This is a BEAUTIFULLY pigmented metallic nude shade. I barely have to press the stick onto my lid and the color just melts right off. I like to either saturate the lid with this for a bold metallic look or blend it into the middle of a bronze smokey eye look. I can’t wait to check out more colors! See swatch below. Check it out HERE.

The hair product I received this month was a travel size of the Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast Spray. This is basically a volumizer, texturizer, and dry shampoo all in one! This adds instant volume without weighing my hair down. I used this on hair that I recently straightened and got a ton of compliments at work the next day about how full and luscious my hair looked. Check it out HERE.

I received 2 face products this month with the first being the GlamGlow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in the color Nude Glow. This is supposed to be good for all skin types and has skin care ingredients to hydrate and nourish the skin as well as give it a slight luminous glow. As an oily skinned girl I am a bit scared of this product. I hate putting products like this in my face because I don’t like all over shine. I prefer a matte face because I feel like illuminating products don’t mix well with my greasy skin. I am not sure if I will try this or if I will pass along. I did swatch it on the back of my hand and it gave a beautiful lit from within glow that didn’t look too crazy. I would recommend for normal to dry skin. Check it out HERE.

The final product I received was the Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm. This again is supposed to be good for all skin types and is supposed to be good fro dryness, large pores, and uneven texture.  I have large pores and uneven texture so I am curious how it will be for that. This is an anti aging product and skin primer all in one. Again this product is supposed to add slight luminosity to the skin which scares me. Unfortunately I haven’t tried this yet as my sample came a bit dried out. Sephora is sending me a new one though. The little bit I did put on the back of my hand felt very smoothing and didn’t leave very much of a luminosity so I will try this once I receive my new one. Check it out HERE.

Overall this is probably my least favorite Play by Sephora. Mostly because I am an oily skinned girl and don’t really like to glow. I did enjoy getting the perfume, volume spray and shadow stick but I wish I could have chosen to get oil control products instead of illuminating ones, Oh well! Subscribe for only $10 HERE!

February BoxyCharm Unboxing + Reivew| Over $155 value!

Hey Guys!

Today I am Unboxing and Reviewing my February Boxycharm box. Boxycharm is a $21 a month beauty subscription services that promises 5+ FULL SIZED HIGH VALUE items! One item this month is worth $79 alone! Check out my unboxing video below as well as in depth reviews of each product. Don’t forget to enter my latest GIVEAWAY HERE.

The first item I pulled out was RealHer Moisturizing Lipstick valued at $20. This is a light nudeish pink color that would be great for spring. I haven’t tried this all day on my lips just yet but the 2 times I put it on my lips to test the color I could see every line and crack! It didn’t seem very moisturizing either. The packaging is cool but also a bit bulky for my taste. I am hoping that a good scrub before applying this will help it look more smooth and even. Check it out HERE.

Next I received 2 Makeup Geek shadows valued at $6 each in the colors Cinderella and Crème Brule. Crème Brule is a beautiful brown/orange matte color that is perfect all over the lid as a base or blended into the crease. Cinderella is a beautiful light champagne pink shimmer that I like to pat onto the center of my lid. Both are great everyday colors and the formulas are long lasting. Check them out HERE.

Since the Makeup Geek shadows need somewhere to be stored Boxycharm sent us a custom small Z Pallete valued at $14! This palette has the black and white logo of Boxycharm and can hold approx 9 Makeup Geek sized shadows. I think it is awesome that Boxycharm included this. I own 1 Z palette but I like how this one is small and compact and perfect for travel. Check it out HERE.

The high value item this month was the Dr. Brandt Micodermabrasion scrub valued at $79. This has a nice lemon scent and the exfoliating beads are so small and smooth they leave my skin feeling soft and supple. Boxycharm is amazing when it comes to the value of their boxes and this is no exception. Dr. Brandt products are pricey but super high quality! Check it out HERE

The final item(s) I got were the OMNIA Royal eyekit valued at $29.98. This is a double pack of high quality makeup brushes. The gold shadow brush is made of natural bristles while the rose gold smudger brush is made of synthetic bristles. Both made my Makeup Geek shadows go on great and felt really nice on the lids. The brushes also have a nice weight to them and the metallic finish of the handles is gorgeous! Check it out HERE.

Overall Boxycharm didn’t disappoint with the products of value of this box at $155+! I am always super excited to get my box and look forward to playing with full sized products and tools every month. This is def my new favorite box! Subscribe HERE.

January BoxyCharm Unboxing and Review! |+ Imperial Glamour Beauty Box Unboxing!

Hey guys!
Today I am showing you what I received in my January Boxycharm. Boxycharm is $21 a month and promises 5 FULL SIZED beauty/makeup products worth over at least $100! I always get my moneys worth from Boxycharm which makes me excited every month. Check out my Unboxing Video below as well as direct links to products below that. Subscribe to Boxycharm HERE.

The first product I received was Gorge Konjac Sponge worth $18. This is a natural sponge that you soak in water to soften then use to exfoliate the face. It can be used with or without a cleanser. It is made from 100% natural Konjac root and naturally balances the skin’s PH levels and is great for sensitive skin. I love the feeling of this on my skin and the fact that it has a string attached for easy storage in my shower. Check it out HERE.

The next product I got was the Adesse Ultra Suede Matte Top Coat worth $18. This is a top coat you paint on your nails to give them a smooth matte effect. I always like my nails to be as glossy and shiny as possible but I am excited that I received a matter top coat to play around with. I might do a matte accent nail or even try making all my nails matte! Check it out HERE.

Next up I received the So Susan Fan Brush worth $18.95. This fan brush is perfect for highlighting the face. The fan brush I previously owned was from Elf and super flimsy so I was excited to receive a brush I needed a new one of. I wish the bristles were a bit less flimsy though. Check it out HERE.

Next I got the Pur Mineral Glow Bronzer which retails for $25. This is a beautiful bronzer that I like to dust all over for a glow and even bring down my neck. It blend flawlessly into the face and I love the huge pan size! It has a slight shimmer in it but nothing crazy. I prefer bronzers with a slight shimmer/glow to them as this makes it look more natural and radiant. I HIGHLY recommend this. Check it out HERE.

The final product I received was the Vintage Highlighter Double worth $35. This is a dual highlighter with the colors Pink Quartz and Chocolate Diamond. The Chocolate Diamond shade is perfect to dust over the body over the Pur bronzer to add to your beachy glow. The Pink Quartz is a pretty everyday highlighter shade. I don’t use highlighter that often as I have oily skin but I am slowly building up the courage to use it. These pan sizes are huge as well. Such a great deal! Check it out HERE.

Overall I enjoyed my box. I got products such as the brush and highlighters that I wouldn’t normally use but am excited to try! I love the Bronzer and hope that it lasts me a long time. I HIGHLY recommend giving Boxycharm a try especially if you like getting full sized makeup/beauty products for only $21 a month! This month’s box had a value of over $115 which is crazy! Subscribe HERE.

Winter Beautycon Unboxing| Video+ Reviews!

Hi Guys!

Today I am bringing you my unboxing and review of the Winter Beautycon box! Beautycon is a seasonal or quarterly box that retails for $35.99 and is curated by the latest YouTube/social media influencer! Whoever curates the box packs it full of their current favorite beauty, makeup, skincare and fashion goodies! Save some $$ by signing up HERE. I get my box at the beginning of the 3 month period so subscribe HERE so you don’t miss out on this and future AMAZING boxes!

This month’s box is curated by Dolce Candy.  Check out my unboxing video below as well as detailed reviews of the items in the box with direct links and coupon codes.

The first in the box was a Limited Edition ColourPop Lippie Stix in the color “Beautycon Pink” and retails for $5. ColourPop always seems to work with Beautycon so if you are a collector of their items I recommend signing up! This is a beautiful nude shade that could work on so many skin tones. I love the formula because the color is opaque with a bit of shine. The perfect “my lips but better” color for me. Check out ColourPop HERE.

We also got a full sized Rimmel London Lipstick which retails for $7. The colors they sent out can vary but the one I received was in 300 Listen Up. This is Rimmel’s new “The One” lipstick formula that is supposed to be pigmented, moisturizing and last all day! The color I got is a bright magenta berry so I will be rocking this in the Spring/Summer! I can’t wait to try out the formula! Check it out HERE.

The next item I received was Artist Couture Illuminati Highlighter that retails for $11. This is made by Angel Merino who actually curated the fall box, which is weird that this wasn’t in that one. It is a super bright highlighter that is in loose powder form so it can be used many different ways! It can be a highlighter, an eye shadow topper, an eye shadow if used wet, or mixed into lotion for a diffused body glow! I don’t highlight my face but I can’t wait to use this on the eyes or dusted over my chest and arms. Check it out HERE.

Next we got a sample of the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer that retails for $7. This is a matte bronzer that can be used to contour the cheeks or as an eye shadow and it smells like chocolate! I don’t contour my face so I am probably passing this along. I have tried this product in the past and it is super smooth and provides a great contour shade. Check it out HERE.

As for the skincare items we got a full sized bottle of the Skinvolve Beauty Karate Cream which retails for $40! This cream has caffeine and argon oil in it to hydrate, tone and tighten the skin. Perfect for the New Year! It feels very lightweight on the skin and has a slight rose scent but nothing too heavy which I appreciate. Check it out HERE.

Next we got a sample of the Garnier Micellar Water which retails for $3.50. This is supposed to remove makeup and oil from the face without needing to rinse after. I am not a huge fan of Micellar waters because I feel like it takes longer to get all my makeup off and it does leave a residue on my face even when it says it doesn’t. I will keep this by my sink for days I am not wearing makeup and need a quick “rinse” but I won’t be buying this anytime soon. Check it out HERE.

Next in the box was the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Feline Mascara which retails for $8. This mascara is L’Oreal’s newest formula and promises lifted and separated lashes for a nice “cat eye” effect. I love the packaging and can’t wait to try this out! The brush looks like it will capture every lash and separate them so I am crossing my fingers! Check it out HERE.

We also received the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Primer which retails for $5. This is a white mascara primer that promises to increase volume and length with any mascara it is used with. I actually already own this and don’t see a huge difference when using it. I feel like a mascara should do that job all on its own without adding an extra step. I think mascara primers are very un-needed. Check it out HERE.

Next I got a Luxie Beauty Highlighting brush that retails for $24. I have so many Luxie brushes and love them all! This one is perfect to go with the highlighter that was sent. I love that they included a tool that can be used with another product. This could also be used for a soft contour or blush! I love it! Check it out HERE.

Next we got a sample of the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate exfoliating treatment which retails for $24. This is a professional strength exfoliating treatment that you leave on the skin for 2 minutes then wash off. This makes my skin super soft and smooth for the rest of the week! Since it is a professional strength exfoliator it is to be used only 1-2 times a week. If you have super sensitive skin I would patch test it first. Check it out HERE.

The final item in the box is a BioBelle Botanic Fiber Mask which retails for $5. This is supposed to be super hydrating and diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I love trying out new face masks so I will either use this or share it with my Mom who also loves face masks. Check it out HERE.

Overall I LOVED everything this month. I loved that it was makeup and skincare heavy and we had over 7 FULL SIZED items! It think Beautycon did a great job with the variety included and colors they sent out. I get my box at the beginning of the 3 month period so subscribe HERE so you don’t miss out on this and future AMAZING boxes!

December BoxyCharm Unboxing!| Worth over $100 of FULL SIZED PRODUCTS

Hey guys!

Check out my video below of my December Boxycharm unboxing! Under the video I have mini reviews of the products as well as individual links to the products and coupon codes.

Boxycharm is $21 a month and promises over $100 worth of Full sized Beauty Products! This is my third month getting it and it has quickly become my favorite box! The sizes and variety are fantastic and you earn points when reviewing the products! Subscriber HERE.

The first item I received was the Ofra Matallic Liquid Lipstick in the color Napa Valley which retails for $19.90. This is a beautiful deep violet purple color with a hint of metallic undertone. The formula is superhttps://www.ofracosmetics.com/ lightweight and has a mouse like consistency. It doesn’t transfer very much and is long lasting on the lips. Get 30% off HERE with code “Boxy30”.

The next product I received was the Beauty for Real Lip Revival Scrub which retails for $14.00. This contains raw sugar, cinnamon, orange and lemon. The packaging is luxurious looking and the smell is light. I prefer to use the Elf lip scrub that comes in a tube form that way I don’t have to use my fingers. I do plan on using this in the future though. Check it out HERE.

The next item I pulled out was Butter London Nail Polish in the color Ruby Murray. and it retails for $15.00. This is a beautiful wine color that is perfect for the fall/winter time. Butter London nail polishes have a long lasting formula that is super shiny. I can’t wait to put this on! Check it out HERE.

The next item I got was IBY Eyeliner in the color Olive Pearl which retails for $14.00. This is a beautiful olive green color with a hint of metallic. I tried using this on my top lashes to create a cat eye and I did not like it. The formula is dry so I had to tug on my delicate eye area to get a smooth line. Even when tugging the liner still had drag and didn’t come out opaque. I wish the formula was creamy because the color is stunning. Get 50% off HERE with code “BOXY1216.”

The final item I received was the Pure Cosmetics Buff Collection Palette which retails for $50.00! This is a gorgeous palette that is basically a knockoff of the Urban Decay Naked 3. The colors range from soft to deep rose gold hues. There are 3 matte shades and the rest range from shimmer to metallic shades. I don’t own the Naked 3 but judging by pictures this is very similar. The color payoff is amazing and while the shades are a bit powdery they blend out beautifully and last all day! I was super excited to get this and this makes the box super worth it! Get 25% off a purchase of $30 or more HERE with code “CHARMEDLIFE”.

Overall I loved this box! Boxycharm hasn’t let me down yet! I love that I got a variety of items and the full sized palette is so awesome! I HIGHLY recommend signing up for Boxycharm HERE

The next item I pulled out was a sample of the Benefit POREfessional primer. This is supposed to fill in pores and is oil free. I have tried this many times and am not a fan because it breaks me out. So I am not even opening this and will be passing this on to someone else. Get it HERE.

Next I received a NYX Prismatic Shadow in Bedroom Eyes. This shadow is super pigmented, buttery and beautiful! It is a satin finish that goes on super smooth and lasts all day. It can go from day to night and is stunning! I want to try out other colors. Get it HERE.

The final item I received was the Ciate Liquid Velvet Matte Lip Color in Pin Up. This is a purple/pink color that comes off darker then it seems in the tube. It is the perfect dark nude color for the winter. The formula is long lasting and doesn't dry my lips out. I want to get more! I LOVE IT! Get 30% off HERE with code "IPSTER".

Overall I loved the variety of this bag. I love the lip color and can't wait to continue to use the face mask. Get IPSY HERE.

Sephora: Theme: The Partygoers

The first item was the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Always Red. This is a BEAUTIFUL rich red lip color. The stain is super pigmented, creamy, and long lasting. It is opaque in one coat and feels comfortable on the lips. Get it HERE

The fragrance is Elizabeth and James in Nirvana Rose. This is a very rose heavy scent but also has a citrusy undertone. It isn't too heavy so it can be worn day or night. Get it HERE

The next item I got was the Make Up Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer. This is supposed to help makeup last longer, mattify skin and fill in pores. I used it today and didn't notice my skin not being any less oily. It did make my makeup go on smoother and my pores looked a tiny but smaller. Nothing dramatic. Get it HERE.

The next item I got was the Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray. I have always wanted to try a setting spray from Urban Decay. I recently bought the De-Slick spray but haven't used it yet. I can't wait to try this one because it is supposed to keep makeup from settling into fine lines and is good for all climates. Get it HERE

Next I pulled out a sample of the Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo. I have gotten this in a Birchbox and I enjoy it. It leaves my hair feeling soft and smelling light and fresh. It does leave a tiny white cast on my hair but I just brush through it a couple times and it get it HERE.

The final item I recieved was a sample of the Lancome Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Volume Mascara. This is supposed to give lashes a full effect This is apparently a cult favorite mascara and is supposed to work really well. I haven't had time to try this out yet but I can't wait. Check it out HERE.

Overall I loved the variety I got in my Sephora bag/box. It contained lots of new items I have been wanting to try and great formulas! I HIGHLY recommend this subscription. Get it HERE.

November BoxyCharm Unboxing| Over $130 value!

Hey Guys!

Check out my November Boxycharm Unboxing Video below. I also have mini reviews under the videos as well as links to products.

BoxyCharm is $21 a month and promises 5 FULL SIZED products and is always worth over $100! I HIGHLY recommend it for any beauty lover who wants to try out new products, get full sized products, and get the most bang for your buck!

This month's theme was Groovy Town and I got 5 products. BoxyCharm sends everyone most of the same products with a couple variations depending on your profile.

The first product I received was the Vintage Illuminating Face Highlighter and this retails for $32.00. This comes in a beautiful white case that feels heavy and luxurious. This is a coral gold highlighter that could work as a highlighter or a blush topper. Since I have oily skin I never use highlighter. It always scares me and I don't ever want to look overly shiny and greasy.. Since I have gotten a couple highlighters in my latest subscription boxes I have slowly started to use them. I love this one because it has a slight sheen and is not in your face sparkle. It is very natural and gives a slight flushed coral look too. Check it out HERE.

The next item I received was a Studio Makeup Eyeshadow Palette and this retails for $49.95.  This is a palette with 9 shadows and is similar in shape and pan size to the Kylie palettes. The colors in this palette range from creme to maroon. These shadows have good pigmentation but can be a little chalky. I wore this on my eyes for Thanksgiving and they lasted all day but needed a couple layers to blend out evenly. It's the perfect palette to travel with as you can make looks ranging from daytime to nighttime smokey! Check it out HERE

The next item was the Patchology FlashMasque Trip worth $20.00. I like that BoxyCharm sent out 3 different ones to try. One is hydrating, one is illuminating, and the other is exfoliating. These are paper sheet masks and the paper actually feels thick and sturdy and not flimsy. They form to the face well and don't slip off. I used the hydrating one and it left my skin feeling super silky and soft. I was glowing the next day! Check them out HERE.

Next I got The Brow Gal Clear Brow Gel retailing for $20.00. I received this in a Beautycon box but have yet to try it. This is a waterproof clear brow gel that holds brows in place all day without being overly sticky or harsh looking. I can't wait to try this out once I am done with my Anastasia brow gel. Check it out HERE.

The final product is a Studio Makeup Soft Blend Blush that retails for $17.00. This is a soft orange peach color that looks super natural. It doesn't give off a ton of pigment but is build able. I don't really like this color on me as it leaves me a bit ruddy looking but the formula is super soft. It is supposed to be long lasting and naturally brightens the face. I think it would look better on deeper skin tones. Check it out HERE.

You just can't beat the value of a BoxyCharm box! For $21 you get 5 full sized products that are always super fun to try out! I saw sneak peeks of the December box and we are getting another eye shadow pallete and a full sized Ofra liquid lipstick! I HIGHLY recommend signing up HERE asap!

October Battle of the Boxes| Ipsy Vs. Play by Sephora

Hey guys!

Today I am reviewing my October Ipsy and Play by Sephora boxes. Both are $10 a month and are beauty subscription services. Ipsy promises 4-5 deluxe size samples with at least 1 being full sized. Sephora promises 6 samples with 1 always being a fragrance. Check out my video below as well as my in depth reviews with product links and discount codes.

Ipsy Bag: Halloween Design Items: 5 Full-sized: 2 Theme: Black Magic

This month’s bag was designed by Valfre. They create really cute phone cases! Check them out HERE and get 25% off with code “IPSY25.”

The first item I pulled out was Sally’s Box Aqua Moist Gel Cream. This is a moisturizer that is supposed to really hydrate the skin using roses, chamomile and lavender. I like using this at night because it doesn’t have SPF. I also like using gel type moisturizers on my oily skin. This sinks in super quick and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. Not greasy and heavy. I like it! Check it out HERE.

The next item is a full sized Ciate London Fierce Flicks Eyeliner. This retails for $19. For a girl who wears cat eyes every day I was super excited to see this! And it is full sized which is an added bonus! This a great felt tipped eyeliner that glides on smoothly. It isn’t 100% opaque but it is buildable. It lasts all day without flaking or cracking. Get 30% off HERE with code “IPSTER.”

Next I pulled out a sample size of the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Coverage Foundation. The color I received was Y225 Marble. This foundation promises invisible coverage, light texture, and lasts all day without needing to set with a powder. I was super excited to receive this as I rarely get to try out higher end foundations. The sample is a decent size with enough products for about a week of wear depending on the amount you use. Unfortunately I really don’t like this. The coverage is too sheer for me. The redness and discoloration on my cheeks peeks through no matter how much product I use. It also doesn’t seem to agree with my oily skin as I get shiny quickly and the foundation breaks up on my face. I do set this with a powder with this still happening. The shade is a tiny bit light for me as well. I wouldn’t recommend this for oily girls but if you have normal skin with little imperfections I would recommend it. It does feel super light on the face and not cakey. Check it out HERE.

Next I received a full sized Kokie Cosmetics Nail polish in the color Heavenly. This retails for $6. This is a BEAUTIFUL lavender blue color and the packaging is super cute! This has a glossy finish, long wearing, and chip resistant. I have yet to try this color but I will be pulling it out soon! I love Ipsy because they always send full sized polishes in the cutest colors! Get 25% off HERE with code “IPSY25”.

The final item I got was a sample of the Trust Fund Beauty Gimme Good Face Face Primer. This Primer is supposed to blur lines and wrinkles. I don’t really have any of those yet so I can’t tell if it does this or not. It has a more slippery silicon texture that works ok with my oily skin. Since it is cooling down a bit it works better but if I am hot and sweaty I find these types make my makeup slide off quicker. I like other primers better but I am glad I was able to try this. Get 40% off HERE with code “IPSYGLAM”.

Overall I loved this month’s variety like always! Even though I was disappointed in the foundation I am glad Ipsy sent out a higher end foundation that I know a lot of people (including myself) want to try. I absolutely love the full sized liquid liner and will be using the gel cream up! Subscribe to Ipsy HERE: Only $10!!! (Also makes a great holiday gift)

Sephora Bag: Lipstick & Chill Theme: The Cool Cut Items: 6

Sephora is starting to do different variety boxes tailored more individually and I love it!

It is so much better when companies tailor the products they send out to the individual because then most people can actually use every item in the bag/box.

The first item I received was a sample of the Blinc Amplified Mascara. This came in INTENSE packaging. It was in a metal tube that was covered in yellow plastic. The actual mascara is in a nice silver tube. The brush is super full and fluffy, just the kind I like. This is marketed as a “tube” mascara. It is supposed to deposit tubes on the ends of your lashes to create length and drama. It also only needs water to remove at the end of the day. Overall I don’t think this mascara works for me. It gives me a nice natural effect but I am more into volume and length. It doesn’t flake throughout the day and come off easily at night though. If you like more Natural mascara give this one a go. Check it out HERE.

Next I received a sample of the Christophe Robin Regenerating Hair Mask. This contains rare prickly pair seed oil that is supposed to deeply nourish and hydrate the strands. I haven’t tried this yet but it looks like a nice thick creamy texture. The only thing I don’t like is the smell. Is smells like a diaper. Not a dirty one but it has the scent of baby powder mixed with something else, like a baby wipe. I am not a fan and hope my hair doesn’t smell like that after using. Check it out HERE.

Next I got a sample of the Skin Inc. Pure Revival Peel. This is a peel that you rub on your face in circular motions and it rolls up the dead skin on your face so you can see what you are removing. This got rid of so much dead skin and my face felt super smooth after! It also didn’t dry it out! I really enjoy it! Check it out HERE.

The next item I received was a sample of the Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb. I actually tried this in one of my FREE Sephora Classes (check it out HERE). This is from a Korean Beauty company and promises instant hydration with a cooling gel feel. This smells so good and feels great on my oily skin! For oily skin I love using gel moisturizers because they don’t make me feel overly greasy or make my skin heavy. I really enjoy using this at night since it doesn’t have SPF. Check it out HERE.

Next I got a sample of the Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in the Color Driver’s Seat. This is supposed to last 8 hours and be comfortable on the lips. The color I got is a bricky red orange. I love it! I didn’t have this color in my collection and it is the perfect nude for fall/winter. Even thought the formula is matte it didn’t dry out my lips while wearing it. I put this on when I got to work and immediately ate a cream filled doughnut and nothing came off! I love it! I want to check out their other colors! The size that Sephora sent out is amazing as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Check it out HERE.

Sephora always sends out a fragrance every month and this month I got YSL Mon Paris. This is a super sultry musky night time scent. It is a heavy musk but has so much sexiness to it. Perfect for fall/ winter date nights. I feel this would be too heavy for day time. I actually enjoy the smell and recommend you go sniff it in stores! Check it out HERE.

Overall the Sephora Bag/box was great. I loved the variety of items and I thought the sizes were decent. My favorite item is the Smashbox Liquid Lipstick!! Sign up for Play by Sephora for $10 a month HERE. ( It also makes a great gift for makeup lovers)

October BoxyCharm Unboxing and Review! | Worth over $140

Hi Guys!

Today I am unboxing my first every Boxycharm box! This is a beauty subscription service that sends you 5 full sized products for $21 a month! I always watch these unboxings on Youtube and get jealous because it seems like the sizes are always full sized and the value is always high! Boxycharm seems to send out the same products to everyone with at least 1 product variation.

The first item I received was a full sized Ofra Beverly Hills Highlighter valued at $39.95. At first I wasn’t excited about this since I never use highlighter but it has turned into my favorite of the box! This product has 5 different colors in the pan ranging from gold, to champagne, to lavender. They are all super pigmented individually and super shiny when mixed together. I won’t be using this on my face to highlight but I think these would make great eye shadow toppers and inner corner highlighters. They are super beautiful and I highly recommend trying it out. Check it out HERE.

Next I received a full sized Temptu Shimmer Bronzer valued at $29.50. This can be used with their airbrush system or on its own using a stippling brush. You can stipple this on the places on your face where you naturally contour or you can do what I do and drop a few drops into your lotion and make a slightly tinted bronzer lotion. I also love the subtle shimmer inside. Check it out HERE.

Next I received the Luxie Beauty Eye Blender Brush Pack. I would have been happy with 1 since I like their brushes but we got 3! This pack retails for $36. I love having 3 different sized blender brushes to really help detail the eye and blend everything together! Luxie brushes are super nice and I love the pink color. Check them out HERE.

I also received a full sized Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Crème valued at $24.00. This stuff smells so good! I put it on my damp hair before blow drying and it leaves my strands super soft, shiny, and smelling great! I love that it has build in heat protection as well so I don’t have to worry about forgetting to add it into my routine. Check it out HERE.

The final item is the IBY Beauty Three’s Company Eyeshadow Trio valued at $19.00. The pan sizes for these shadows is pretty big and the colors are super soft and pigmented. It comes with a matte cream, a matte brown and shimmery gold. Perfect for day or night looks on the go. I love this but also have similar things to it in my collection. I am still on the fence on whether I will keep it or pass it along. Check it out HERE.

Overall the value of my first Boxycharm is $140+! I love that every product is full sized and super high quality. I HIGHLY recommend trying out Boxycharm or giving it to someone as a gift! Sign up HERE.

Fall BeautyCon Unboxing and Review| MakeupShayla & Mac_Daddy!

Hey Guys!

I recently received my fall Beautycon box and I wanted to show you all the fun goodies I got inside!

Beautycon is a seasonal/quarterly box that comes every 3 months and costs $29.99 plus shipping. Each box is curated by a Youtube/Social media guru. My past boxes have been curated by Bethany Mota, Kandee Johnson, and Graveyard girl. This season’s box is curated by 2 stars: Angel Merino (MAC_Daddy) and MakeupShayla. I follow Angel on Instagram but not MakeupShayla but I have heard of her. Check out my unboxing video below as well as detailed reviews with links to all the products inside.

The first item I pulled out was the Browgal Double Ended Highlighter Pencil in Gold/Nude. This is full sized and retails for $20. I love the size of this and the fact that it is double sided since it is like getting 2 products in 1! The gold side is a bit too deep of a gold for my skin tone to use under my brow bone so I will use it as an all over eyeshadow or just on my inner corner. The other side is a matte flesh toned stick that is still a bit dark for my skin tone. I am not sure if I will use this side. I wish this would have come in a lighter more champagne color for me. Check it out HERE.

Next we got a pair of MakeupShayla lashes from Flutter lashes. These are full size and retail for $11. We also got a sample of duo lash glue to go with them. The lashes are a stacked style meaning they are supposed to give the look of 2 pairs on top of each other. This creates a full almost 3D effect. These are definitely a statement maker which I will be wearing at my next special event. I know duo glue isn’t expensive so I wish they would have given us a full size. Check out the lashes HERE. Check out the glue HERE.

The next item was the Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer. This is a sample size. I received this product in a Birchbox a while back and I really like it. I am almost out of my other one so this came at the perfect time. This is basically a hybrid of a lip balm and gloss in one. It leaves a shiny moisturized finish packed with vitamins. It also smells delicious like roses. I will be throwing this in my desk at work to put on during the winter. I also like to top matte lipsticks with this for some added hydration and shine. Check it out HERE.

The next item is a fashion item. It is a Laser Kitten Sweetheart Lipstick Pin and retails for $12. Pins are super trendy at the moment and I love this one. It is a tiny tube of red lipstick that will go perfectly on my new jean jacket. You can also stick it on a lanyard, blazer, or tote bag! I love pins because they can add a cool new element to any look at a relatively inexpensive price. Check it out HERE.

The next item is a full sized Luxie Beauty Large Angled 504 Brush. This retails for $16 and has a pretty pink handle with super soft brushes. I own a couple Luxie brushes already and the quality and feel is amazing. I will be using this to brush on blush and maybe even highlighter on the rare occasion that I wear it. I wish they would have included another brush as well. Check it out HERE.

The next item was a Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow in the color Bella Café. This is full sized and retails for $5. I actually just bought 3 of these Bella Eyes at the Dollar Tree and love how they feel! This color is a light taupey brown that unfortunately doesn’t have a lot of color payoff. This is a bummer because the 3 colors that I got at the Dollar Tree were super pigmented. Check it out HERE.

Next we got a sample the Mystic Tan Mocha Kyssed Bronze lotion. This is a self tanner that has instant color payoff and also build a deeper color over time. It isn’t supposed to have a strong self tanner scent and is good for all skin tones. I haven’t used this yet but I am excited too. I have never used a product from Mystic Tan but I have heard great things about their products. I am hoping this one doesn’t have a strong self tanner scent as this bothers me. I feel like there is enough product in the tube to get at least 2 full body uses out of it. Check it out HERE.

The next item is my favorite in the whole box. It is a sample of the OFRA Long lasting liquid lipstick in Mocha. This color is beautiful! It is a perfect nude for many skin tones and feels amazing on the lips. It goes on opaque, stays on all day and doesn’t dry out the lips. I am hooked! I highly recommend picking one of these up. Get 30% off HERE with code Beautycon.

Next we got a sample pack of Simple Facial Cleansing wipes. This pack contains 7 wipes. Simple is not an expensive brand so I wish they would have sent out a full size bag. In previous boxes they have sent out full sized makeup wipes so I think they could have done that this time. Check it out HERE.

We also got 5 lipstick sour gummies from Sugarfina. These were super yummy but again I wish we would have gotten a few more. But the lip shape was super cute!

The final item was a sheet of stickers with fun sayings and fashion items on them. This would be perfect to put in a planner.

Overall I think this box was OK. This on was more makeup focused versus the last couple boxes which had both makeup and skincare. Compared to other boxes I feel like this one was lacking in sizes, and quantities. I wish the samples were bigger and there were more products in them. I can’t wait to see who curates the next box! Usually holiday boxes are the best! Subscribe to Beautycon HERE.

What box should I try out next? XOX Chan

August Battle of the Boxes | Ipsy Vs. Play by Sephora

Follow

Hey Guys!

Today I have my August Battle of the Boxes Ipsy vs. Play by Sephora for you. Both are $10 a month subscription services that let you try out the latest makeup and skincare products. Ipsy guarantees 4-5 deluxe sized samples with at least 1 being full sized while Sephora usually has 5-6 sample sizes with 1 always being a fragrance.

Ipsy’s theme this month was Sugar Highness and you could get 2 different bag designs. Both were designed by Ipsy co-founder Michelle Phan which is really awesome! I got 6 items with 4 being full sized! I will also have coupon codes for the brands in this months bag. The codes don’t have to be used on the items I mention.

The first item I received was a full sized Dermelect 'ME' Peptide Infused Lacquer in UNSCRIPTED nail polish. This retails for $14 and is infused with ingredients to help weak brittle nails stay strong and healthy. Here are some of the other claims from their site:

·         strengthens weak, brittle nails

·         restores flexibility

·         helps resist chipping and splitting

·         superior extended wear

·         water and detergent resistant

·         UV protected

·         DBP, Toluene & Formaldehyde free

·         cruelty free- no animal testing, ever!

The color I got is a beautiful medium toned Lilac! I actually have a similar color to this that I love! I think it is perfect for spring/summer so I will be holding on to this till next season. If I didn’t just wear this color I would have put it one! Get 20% off HERE with code Ipsy-20.

The next items I received were 2 Sally's Box Secret Garden Ampoule Masks. One of the things I love about Ipsy is they not only count sending 2 of the same thing as 1 product but the fact that they send multiples of things that need more than one try before you can see if it works or not. These retail for $6 each and the 2 I got were the Olive Oil Mask which nourishes skin and helps diminish the look of fine lines and the Camellia Oil Mask which gives you a radiant glow. These masks are cool because they are 2 step sheet masks. You first rip the top open and pat the serum all over your face. Then you put the sheet mask that is also damp with ingredients over your face to help really seal in the skincare benefits. After you take it off you pat the remaining products into your skin and you’re done! I used the Olive Oil one and my skin instantly felt soft, smooth and radiant! Check them out HERE.

The next item I received was a travel size of the Sympan Beauty ONE Moisture Cream which retails for $20. According to their site, these are tested on every skin type, is great at wrinkle reduction, increases skin firmness and brightens! Check out the other benefits below:

·         Bendable with all foundations, powders and primers

·         Instantly evens skin tone

·         Chocked-full of super succulent aloe–ultra moisturizing and calming

I use this cream at night because it doesn’t have SPF in it. It has an interesting scent that is neither good nor bad. It is a super rich cream that just melts into my skin. I feel like it is super moisturizing but as someone with oily skin I do notice my skin feeling a little greasier in the morning after I have used it. This doesn’t bother me too much as I wash my face off in the morning but if you have oily skin I wouldn’t recommend using this during the day. I also haven’t seen any improvement with my skin tone yet. Fingers crossed! Get 30% off HERE with the code IPSY30.

The next product I received was a sample size of the IT Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Mini Gel Eyeliner in black. As someone who suffers from year round allergies and sneezes a lot I have been on the hunt for an eyeliner that I can tight line my top lashes without it smudging to my bottom ones. Their website says it is a smooth formula that glides on without damaging delicate lids. I would have to agree that this glides on so smooth and is super pigmented! I usually find that super creamy formulas tend to move around on my eyes but this one stays put! It only transfers to my lower lash line a tiny bit but if you don’t sneeze a million times a day like I do I think you will find that it stays put all day! It also removes easily with waterproof eye makeup remover. Check it out HERE.

The final product in my Ipsy bag this month was a full sized Beau Gachis Paris Pro Series Applicator Sponge. This retails for $12 and is comparable to the BeautyBlender. I recently got into using my beloved BeautyBlender for foundation so I was excited to try this one out and see how they compare. Here are some of their claims from their website: This latex-free wonder is stiff enough for precise application of cream blushes and highlighters, as well as foundation. It is also safe for anyone allergic or sensitive to latex, blends better than a brush or your fingers and has a unique teardrop shape is easy to hold and maneuver. I found that this does apply foundation great but not as great as my BeautyBlender. What I actually find this perfect for is patting powder on my face. I cover one side in powder then press it on my skin and I find this makes my large pores smaller and helps set everything nicely. It also cleans easily and can be used damp or dry. Get 25% off HERE with code beautifulipster25.

Overall my Ipsy this month had a great variety. One of my favorite things about Ipsy is all the different items you try out are so diverse and at many different price points. My favorite item is the sponge. Subscribe to Ipsy HERE

This month’s Play by Sephora theme was The Eye Openers and we receive 6 samples. None are full sized which is OK with me. I know that Sephora has higher priced items so as long as the samples are big enough to try I don’t mind them being smaller.

The first item was the Lancôme Énergie de Vie The Smoothing & Glow Boosting Liquid Moisturizer. The website claims this is good for all skin types and refreshes, protects and hydrates skin to get rid of uneven skin tone and dryness. I like to pat this on in the evenings as my serum before moisturizer so it can really sink in over time. I don’t use it during the day because I don’t like to add more products to my oily skin during the day. I find that when I wake up after using this I have a glow! A little goes along way with this as well. It smells clean and fresh and feels luxurious on the skin. Check it out HERE.

The next item was a sample of the Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Eye Lifting Balm. For an expensive eye cream sample I must say this is a great size! I use this eye cream at night and find that it sinks in really well and doesn’t leave a heavy sticky feeling behind that I find a lot of other eye creams do. This one is supposed to quickly reduce dark circles, puffiness, and smooth the appearance of wrinkles. This sinks in quickly and has a nice pleasant scent. I haven’t seen results yet but I know with skincare it can take a while. Check it out HERE.

The next item was a sample size of the SEPHORA COLLECTION Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof in the color flirting game. This is a super creamy eye pencil and the color is a purplely taupe color. Super beautiful! I am excited to use it to create a smokey eye which I learned how to do in my latest FREE Sephora class! Check out my write up HERE. I find that this is super long wearing and highly pigmented. The color also goes perfectly with the next item from the box. Check it out HERE.

The next item was a sample size of the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadow Eye shadowin the color I-544. This can be depotted an put into a Z pallet which I plan to do. It is a perfect brownish purple that goes perfectly with the liner above. I think both would create an amazing smokey eye together. I also like wearing this lighting on my lip during the day. It blends out beautifully and doesn’t crease when using a primer! This formula comes in a ton of different shades so check them out HERE.

To finish off the look I received a baby sample of the Urban Decay Perversion mascara in black. I have tried this mascara before and honestly love it! It has a medium dry/wet formula and grabs on and plumps up every lash creating volume and length. It is also a super black color and doesn’t flake off during the day. It also removed easily at night. It gives the perfect false lash effect as well. Check it out HERE.

The fragrance we received this month was CLEAN Reserve Blonde Rose. This is a very classic feminine scent that leans a bit too mature for me. I wasn’t a fan of this scent because it was too heavy. If you are into mature rose scents you might like this! Check it out HERE.

Overall I feel the sample sizes in Play by Sephora were great and I loved all the items. I liked the focus on the eyes this month especially after going to my Sephora makeup class. Check my review out HERE. My favorite item is the eye shadow. Sign up for Play by Sephora HERE

Overall I think both boxes/bags were great. I wasn’t disappointed in anything except the fragrance. Both had such a great variety and I got to try out some awesome things!

Battle of the Boxes: Ipsy vs. Play by Sephora | July 2016

Follow

Hey Guys!

Today I have my July Battle of the Boxes to share with you. Both are $10 a month and are full of makeup, skincare, and other beauty goodies.

Ipsy promises 4-5 deluxe sized samples with at least 1 being full sized. It also comes in a cute cosmetic bag. This month we received 5 items with 3 being full sized!

The theme for this month was Hot Summer nights and the bag was silver holographic with beach umbrellas printed on the front.

The first item I received was a full sized nail polish from Trust Fund Beauty in the color No Filter. This item retails for $15. This is a nice greige neutral color. I don't normally wear nudes but I like this one! It is sophisticated and super opaque. It is free of harsh chemicals and covers in 1 coat. Get 35% off HERE with code IPSY35.

The next item was also full sized and it is the Perfect Duo Brow Pencil from J. Cat Beauty. It retails for $3.99. I like this because it has the spooly on the back. I think this color is too dark for me though. It also transfers a bit. I wish it was a bit lighter but I will still use it. Use code ipsy716 HERE and get 25% off a purchase of $30.

The next full sized item was a Baked Eyeshadow from Mellow in the color Coco. This retails for $8. This is beautiful! It is super buttery and pigmented and has a slight shimmer. I love it and highly recommend it. Get 15% off of any order of $40+ HERE with code Ipsy15.

The next item was a small sample of the Get Glossed Hair Serum from Eva NYC. This smells amazing and a little goes along way. This helps to strengthen the hair, instantly adds shine, tames frizz, and protects against heat! Get 15% off HERE with code GetGlossedIpsy15.

The final item was a sample of the Make up Forever Excessive Lash Mascara. I love this mascara! The brush isn't very bushy but it coats each lashI  and gives it volume, length and definition! It doesn't clump and lasts all day! I am addicted! Get it HERE

Overall this month had an AMAZING value and variety of items! Sign up HERE.

This month's Play by Sephora contained 6 products. Unlike Ipsy, Sephora always contains 1 fragrance sample. This is the one thing I don't like about it.

This month's theme was Effortless Summer and came in a cute white bag with a Popsicles on the front.

The fragrance this month was the Nest Fragrance in the scent Citrine. This smells fresh and fruity. The description of this is lotus flower, freesia, and sparkling citrus notes. I really like this and the packaging looks really cool! To keep your fragrance lasting longer on the skin make sure you are freshly moisturized with either an unscented lotion or one in the same scent. Check it out HERE

The next item was the Wave Spray from OUAI. This is a weightless texture mist that is supposed to add volume, texture, and shape to the hair. This stuff smells DELICIOUS! I want to get it in a body spray! Not sure how it works as a wave spray since I don't usually have luck with these but I might use it as a body spray hahah. Check it out HERE

Next was the Bloterazzi from Beautyblender. I actually own this already but I was happy to get another one. The full sized one has 2 sponges and a case. The sample just had one full sized facial sponge. I am keeping this as a backup in case any of my sponges gets torn or worn out. This item is designed to be like blotting sheets but instead of being disposable you can wash it and keep using it. Since it is made of the same spongy material as a BeautyBlender it doesn't disturb your makeup and soaks up oil. I love it. I highly recommend. Check it out HERE.

Next up was the First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay. This is a foaming cleanser that uses red clay to purify and cleanse the skin and get rid of oil. I only use Proactiv so I won't be using this. I might try it once. Check it out HERE.

The next time was my favorite! It is the Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer. This is a mattifying and smooth primer for combo and oily skin. This is supposed to minimize shine, and pores and help makeup last. It feels like the Porefessional by Benefit. It smooths out my large pores on my cheeks and makes my skin so soft. I highly recommend!! Check it out HERE.

The final product is the Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer in Chocolate. This is a matte bronzer that smells like delicious chocolate. This bronzer build able and perfect for contouring. I don't contour so I will be adding this to my giveaway pile. Check it out HERE

Overall I loved my Play by Sephora! The Primer is amazing and I am thinking about buying the full size! Sign up HERE

Ole Henriksen Unboxing+ Review | Influenster VoxBox

Hey Guys!

Today I have a VoxBox Unboxing from Influenster to share with you. To find out more information about Influenster check out my video below. I did receive these products for free in exchange for my honest review.

The products are from the new Ole Henriksen Power Bright line. This line promises brighter, more illuminated skin. I am always on the hunt for brightening products as I feel they can help diminish my post acne scars. We received 3 generous products to try out in this VoxBox.

The first item was Truth Serum Vitamin C Collagen Booster Serum. This is a serum that is supposed to be good for Normal, Combination or Dry skin. It is supposed to help brighten the complexion, reduce lines and wrinkles and help with uneven skin tone. It smells like yummy oranges and goes on well. I like to rub this on at night after my toner and before my moisturizer. I gently rub it all over my face, neck and decollete and then pat it in so it absorbs better. It does have a slight tacky feel but that goes away once you apply moisturizer over it. Overall I like this and find that it has helped me look "glowy". Check it out HERE.

The next product was the Sheer Transformation moisturizer. This is supposed to be good for normal, combination, and dry skin and promises to help with dryness, uneven skin tone, and uneven texture. I use this product nightly after the serum. It has a lightweight creamy formula and goes on really well. I put it on my face, neck and decollete and my skin just drinks it in. Check it out HERE.

The final thing I was sent to test out was the Power Bright 3 Step System. This is good for all skin types and promises to reduce uneven skin tone, get rid of dullness, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The kit comes with a mask, a concentrate, a cleanser, and 2 facial sponges. The first step is the Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask. You apply it to your face for 10 minutes then while rinsing it off you want to massage it into the skin. The next step is the Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate. You apply this after the mask to dry skin and let it soak in for 2-3 minutes. You don't want to rinse it off after. The final step was the Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. This is to be applied straight over the concentrate and left on for 10-15 minutes. To remove this you dampen one of the complexion sponges and wipe off. You should follow with a moisturizer and expect a glowy complexion.

Check it out HERE

Overall I loved all the products! I felt like I was at a spa and people have actually been telling me how glowy I look lately! If I had to recommend 1 thing it would be the 3 step system. The results are amazing!

Kandee Johnson Beautycon BFF Unboxing and Review| Summer 2016

Follow

Hey Guys!

Today I am unboxing the Summer 2016 Beautycon box curated by Kandee Johnson. Beautycon is a seasonal/quarterly box and it is $29.99. This box is jam packed with Kandee Johnson's favorite skincare and makeup products to keep your skin summer ready. She has oily skin like me so I was excited to get products geared toward my skin type. This box has a value of over $160!

The first item was the Redken Fashion Waves Sea Salt Spray valued at $19.50.  This is a full sized bottle of texturizing spray to give your hair that sexy beachy look. I have such long thick hair that these kinds of products never seem to work in my hair. I am going to be putting this in my Giveaway stash.

The next item is the Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil valued at $10. This is a full sized bottle of oil that you use to remove your eye and face makeup before you cleanse. I have really been getting into using products like this lately and I love that it also removes waterproof eye makeup. You use it on a dry face too which I found interesting. I like this because it isn't heavy and it is great at removing eye makeup quickly. I recommend.

Next up was the Cover Fx Contour brush valued at $38. This is a dual ended brush made for contouring the cheeks and smaller areas like the nose. I do not contour so I won't be using this for that. It is a really nice soft brush that I feel would be great for concealer or foundation. It doesn't look like any contour brush that I have ever seen. I will be putting this in my Giveaway pile.

Next was a baby sample of the VersaSpa Gradual Tan Face Moisturizer.  This is a tanning face moisturizer that you can use day or night. It is always good to use a moisturizer or tanner that is made for the face because it is more delicate and doesn't clog your pores as easily. I do fake tan my body so I am excited to try this out and hope it doens't break me out.

The next item I received was the Smashbox Eye Brow Tech Shaping Powder valued at $25. This is a full sized brow powder that uses a felt tip liner applicator. It is cool because you basically just line your eyes with this powder to get a soft look. The only thing I don't like about this is that it doesn't draw on the skin very well so I have to go in with a brow pencil to fill in the front part of my brows. Overall it is a really cool product to try.

The next item is a Nyx Jumbo eye pencil in the color Cashemere and it is valued at $8. This is a full sized eye pencil that can be used as an eye shadow base or all over the eyes as a shadow. It is super creamy and pigmented and I love the soft shimmer look it gives.

Another item from Nyx I received was the Ombre Lip duo in Peaches & Cream and it is valued at $12. This has a darker orange shade on one end that you use to line to lips and a lighter color on the other end that you use to fill in and create an ombre effect. I have pictures down below showing the different colors. Both colors are pretty drying. The darker shade is opaque and I put it on alone with a gloss overtop  and this helped make it wearable. The lighter shade was patchy, dry, and not flattering on me on it's own. The ombre lip I created was cool but not something I would wear alot.

The first shot below is the ombre, second is the dark color, third is the light color and the final is the dark shade with lip gloss over it.

Next was the Benzac Clearing Hydrator Treatment valued at $10. This is a hydrating acne treatment that also controls oil. I use this after I cleanse and tone my face and then use a mosturizer after that has SPF in it. I feel like this does control my oil a bit but the smell is so strong! It actually makes me gag when I use it. I like what it does for my face and the scent goes away once it is dry but it is pretty potent.

Next up was the Garnier Clearly Brighter Day Moistruizer valued at $12. This is a full sized bottle with SPF 15 that I use every morning before I put on makeup. It is lightweight which is perfect for my oily skin and as a nice clean scent. It helps to brighten and smooth out skin tone for a more even complexion. I am hoping this helps with post acne scarring that I always get. I am liking it so far and it doesn't seem to make my skin any more oily.

We also received a deluxe sized sample of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof mascara. I love the original Better Than Sex so I can't wait to use this when I go swimming or to the beach and I am glad I get to try it.

The final items were little samples of the LA Fresh Face Cleanser Towelettes and the LA Fresh Instant Cooling Body Towelettes

This box was such a great value for $29.99! I always look forward to my Beautycon box and can't wait to see who picks the products for the next one.

May Battle of the Boxes| Ipsy Vs. Play by Sephora+ Mary Kay GIVEAWAY!

Hey Guys!

This month is my first Battle of the Boxes where I battle Ipsy Vs. Play by Sephora. I recently canceled my Birchbox because I wasn't happy with it. Play by Sephora is a new subscription service from Sephora and it is $10 a month!

Play by Sephora offers 5 samples of products in their stores and always includes 1 fragrance. I am not too excited about getting a fragrance vile every month but I guess they can't please everyone. Unlike Ipsy, who does a great job at mixing high and low priced products, Play by Sephora's items are a higher price point so I don't expect many full sized or giant sized products. Honestly I don't mind because I already am aware that products in Sephora are higher priced to begin with.

This month's Play by Sephora theme is Forces of Nature. Sign up HERE

We received 5 items. They are all sample sized.

The first was from Bite Beauty. It is their Amuse lipstick in the color KimChi. I have always wanted to try Bite Beauty and was very excited to see this in the box. It is a beautiful magenta color perfect for Spring/Summer. It is a very bold color and has a rich and creamy consistency that I enjoy. Now I see what all the hype is about their products. The bullet has a unique shape as well and there is enough product in this sample to last a while.

The next lip product was a Tartest Lip Crayon from Tarte in the color Latergram. This is a perfect "Your Lips But Better" Color. This is actually my least favorite item in the box unfortunately. The product itself is very dry so when it is applied to lips it breaks off easily. The packaging also is not my favorite because you can't retract the liner so beware! If the full size was more creamy than I would recommend this. The color was great!

We received a 3 sample pack from Orgins. Usually I don't like foil packets but because this one had us try out 3 different products I didn't mind. The first was a spray tube of the Maskimizer. This is a spray you apply after cleansing and before applying a face mask. It is supposed to help prepare the skin for masks and help the skin to absorb the ingredients better. I think this is a cool concept but I didn't see results right away. It was still fun to try out! The first mask was the Charcoal Mask. I liked this because I love masks that draw out impurities and toxins. The next was an overnight hydrating mask that is great to do after a Charcoal mask as it helps re balance the skin. My husband said this one made my face smell like Fruit Loops! I loved the texture and woke up to glowing skin!

The next product was from Korres and it is their Wild Rose Overnight sleeping facial. This one is a rose serum that helps hydrate and balance the skin. I apply this nightly in the place of my moisturizer and it is so soft and buttery! It smells like Roses too but not in an overly perfumey way. I wake up and my skin is glowing and so soft!

Next I got a deluxe sized sample of the Don't Despair Repair Hair mask from Briogeo.  This is a hair mask that you put on after shampooing and leave in for a few minutes. I like to leave it in for as long as possible so I usually use it when I am showering and shaving. It has a nice consistency and smells great! It left my hair feeling soft and hydrated!

The final item was a fragrance. It is the Orange Sanguine Cologne. I was not a fan of this fragrance.

Overall I am happy with my first Play by Sephora box. I love that I get to try higher end items for $10 a month!

This month's Ipsy theme was Destination Chic. Sign up HERE

We received 5 samples with 3 being full sized!

The first was the Acne Pore Deep Cleanser from NoTS. This is a great deluxe sized sample that is perfect for travel. I haven't had a chance to use this yet but I will be throwing it into my travel bag to take on vacations with me. I would use this as my chest and back cleanser.

Next I received a Full Sized Small Contour W07 Brush from Slmissglam. This brush is so cute and so soft! I love it! It has a white handle, 2 diamonds on the gold base and pink bristles. I don't contour but I found that it is perfect for setting my under eyes since it is so soft! Get 25% off your purchase HERE with code "Slipsy25:.

The next full sized item I received was the Lavender Moisture Rich Balm from Jersey shore Cosmetics. I am not a huge fan of getting lip balms in subscription services. I will use this product but I would rather try out something new and exciting! This balm is super moisturizing and the lavender scent is great to put on to calm the senses. Get 50% off HERE with code "ipsy50".

The next full sized item is the Gel Effect Nail Polish from Aurora in the color Safety Orange. It is a true neon safety cone orange color! I have gotten a navy polish from this brand before and love the formula! I might try this on my toes this summer! Get 10% off HERE with code "IPSYJUNE16".

The final product is a sample size of the new X-Rated Mascara from Smashbox. I love getting Smashbox items to try out because the price point is a bit higher. This is a decent mascara that doesn't' smudge throughout the day. It has a middle of the road formula where it is not too wet and not too dry. It didn't really wow me in volume or length though. Get 15% off HERE with code "IPSY15".

Overall I thought Ipsy was great this month in terms of size and variety of products.

Target Beauty Box Unboxing and Review!

Hey guys! Target released another Beauty Box and I was lucky enough to snag one before they were sold out!

Target releases beauty boxes at random but usually there is a new one every month. Sometimes they release multiple different kinds, sometimes a men's one, and sometimes just one. The prices for the boxes also usually range between $5 and $15. This current box was $7 and has over $30 worth of products that can be found at Target.

The only other budget friendly store that I know of that has Beauty Boxes is Walmart. Walmart's is different because it is a subscription service and comes out every season, so about 4 times a year. It is also $5. I wish Target would have an automatic sign up for their boxes so that you don't have to scramble to get the box before it is sold out. I post on my Instagram when new boxes come out so make sure you follow me there. Link is below.

This box had a great variety of items and everything was the perfect size to try out. My favorite item is the Skinfix lip balm. I love these types of lip balms to wear on their own or over lipstick.
