Succulents seem to be the new trendy home décor item going around. I have been seeing them in stores, online, and everywhere in between. Target had a bunch but they were $15+ each! When I was looking at them I thought, "I could make these". So I called up my friend who works at my local Dollar Tree and asked if they sold succulents. When she said they did I immediately drove over to check them out.
They only had 3 left so make sure to run to or call your local stores to see if they have some! I bought all 3! 2 of them were longer stemmed and had bigger leaves while the other was smaller and looked more like a traditional succulent to me. Dollar Tree has a great selection of glass bowls so I bought 3. One was round, one was a cylander, and the other was a square. They also have a ton of different things to fill the bowls with ranging from rocks, to shells to glass beads. I chose white rocks.
I only bought one bag but I would recommend getting at least 2. The succulents come in little pots which were big and bulky so I pulled them out and threw the pots away. I then filled each bowl a quarter of the way with the rocks and stuck in the succulents and I was done!
They look so cute and I am OBSESSED with them! They look like anything else you would find in a more expensive store but they cost under $3 each! I want to make more to add a little greenery to my desk.
