How to Make Moving with Children Easier! | Featuring Bearded Brothers Moving Group

Moving can be tiring, overwhelming and crazy. Add children into the mix and you got yourself a recipe for meltdowns!  If you are moving soon and want to make the process easier, stress free and fun for your children, check out my tips below for moving with children!

Firstly, I recommend getting children as involved as they can in the home buying process. Obviously, they don’t understand mortgages, loans, and things like that but taking them to open houses, getting their opinion and hearing what they have to say will not only make them excited to move, but also might open your eyes to what their needs are for a new house. They might want a big backyard versus a basement, or even share a room with their sister! You might not know you should be looking for these things until they are involved. They also might point out things you might overlook. They bring in a fresh pair of eyes that can be helpful in the long run. After all, they will grow up there and you want their memories to be amazing.

Once the house is chosen, let them know. Drive by it so they remember which one it is. Or if building, let them come see the house as it is being built so they can see how soon it will be done. Remind them about all the things they loved about the house. Ask them what color room they want, pick out new sheets for their new bed. The more they are involved, the less stress will come out of the sometimes-difficult transition of moving. If possible, let them choose their room! This gives them a sense of pride knowing they chose the room all on their own and it is officially theirs.

Let them be involved with the packing process. I know packing can be overwhelming (more on that later) but having them pack up even just one box of their favorite items and letting them put it in their new room can help them feel involved, important, and helpful. Kids are very curious and always want to help. Letting them help in small ways make them feel involved in important family events.

To make the parents life easier, if you are able, I recommend getting the kids out of the house during the packing process if you can. After letting the kids pack up their box, send them to camp, grandparents house or even with a babysitter for the day. That way you can focus on the packing and moving process and not have to worry about feeding, naptime, or entertaining.

Once everything is packed, bring the children to the new house when the last of the boxes are being unloaded. Let them see all the work that was put into their new house! Having them be involved someway from start to finish allows them to not be surprised and overwhelmed in a new environment and be proud. Talking through every step and communicating with kids no matter the age helps them feel important and eliminates the stress of “what’s happening?”

I highly recommend hiring a skilled moving company to help with the move. This can take much of the stress off of you, so your kids don’t sense it. Kids are masters at feeling stress so the less you have during the big transition the better for you and them. If you are in the Youngstown Ohio Area, check out Bearded Brothers Moving Group LLC for all your needs. They can pack your items, move them to your new home, unload and help set up your new house so it is back to being normal quicker. Don’t stress about moving heavy furniture items or delicate pieces like pianos or pool tables, Youngstown Ohio Pool Table Movers has you covered. They offer a variety of moving packages to fit your needs from labor, to packing and can even help move offices in the commercial setting. Moving out of state? They can help with that too!

Last tip is to enjoy your new home! Once everything is moved in and unpacked, cook a family meal (or order out) enjoy your first meal as a family and talk about all the exciting things you can’t wait to do in the new house. Ask each child what they are most excited to do and match that energy with your own ideas. Again, the more involved they feel, the less anxious they will be about moving.

I hope you enjoyed these moving tips. Moving can be stressful. So, remember, take a deep breath, relax, and hire out help like Bearded Brothers if possible. For more information about Bearded Brothers Moving Group LLC click HERE.

Happy moving!

Get your Brightest, Whitest, Healthiest Smile Ever with Smile Brilliant| cariPro Toothbrush GIVEAWAY!

Hey Guys!

Today I wanted to talk to you about your smile. To me, a smile is one of the most important things you can have. If you have a bright healthy looking smile, no matter what you are wearing, or feeling that day, you will look 10 times better!

Now I don’t want to sound like a parent, but I have always believed taking care of your teeth is a must. I am an avid brusher, flosser, whitener, and mouthwash user and always have been. I have been going to the same dentist since I had teeth and he has always told me that my teeth are gorgeous and I am lucky. People always tell me that my smile lights up a room and I am happy to say my teeth are one of my favorite body features (sounds weird to say haha).

I always stress the importance of good teeth because a smile is the first thing someone notices when they meet you. Not only that, but your teeth are a gateway to good health! I don’t want to preach too much about this but feel free to research what can happen to your health if your teeth and mouth aren’t kept healthy and clean!

I have pretty much always used a battery operated toothbrush, which I enjoyed, but I felt like I needed something a little better. I always like the feeling of how clean my teeth are when I leave the dentist so my dentist recommended getting a rechargeable toothbrush.

I found the Smile Brilliant cariPro Electric Toothbrush and I have been using it every day for over a month now and am in LOVE! My favorite things about this brush are the different brush modes, how it keeps a charge for 30 days, and how lightweight and slim the design is. Did you know you should brush your teeth for 2 minutes to clean your mouth most effectively? The cariPro toothbrush vibrates every 30 seconds so you know when to change the area of your mouth you are brushing. I love this!

br.PNG

The brush has 5 cleaning modes: Clean, White, Massage, Gum Care, and Sensitive.

I use mine on sensitive every day, and clean/white 1-2 times a week for a deeper cleaning. I then use Massage/gum care 1-2 other times to make sure my gums are very healthy.

JORD Wood Watch Review and GIVEAWAY!| Holiday Gift Guide 2017

Follow

Hey Guys!

Today I wanted to share with you my latest watch from JORD watches.  This is my 3rd watch from the company and I am just as happy and in love with it as I am with my others! I have also partnered with JORD to bring you guys a Holiday GIVEAWAY! Stay tuned till the end of the post to enter!

With the holidays coming up, I was on the hunt for the perfect gifts for the men in my life AKA my Dad and Husband. I have always found it difficult shopping for men as I feel like the market isn’t as saturated with options like the women’s market is and guys aren’t as good as telling others what they want. So I was off on my hunt to find the perfect unique present.

20171102_183348.jpg

When I buy gifts, I try to find ones that are different and high quality. I don’t like to buy a bunch of cheap items just to fill a bag or box. I try to find things that the person will enjoy, and will stay around for years to come and be useful. I also like to get things that people might not know that they want or need. Many men wear watches in their everyday life but I thought a wooden watch would be different and cooler than just a plain old metal watch.

Since I already enjoy and love my 2 women’s JORD watches, I thought it was time I picked up a couple men’s ones. My Dad and Husband always admired my wooden watch so why not get them their own! JORD has many different style and size options.  Some are sleek, some are sportier, and some are square or round. They also come in many different wood species, face colors, and metal finishes.

20171025_211910.jpg

The one I choose was from the Dover series in the Zebrawood and Dark Sandalwood option.  This one has sapphire crystal glass, a skeleton face, and is automatic so it doesn’t need a battery! The other cool thing about JORD watches is they can send them in your custom wrist size, or engrave them with a name or message. If you don’t know the wrist size of you or the person you are buying for they will send it with extra links that can easily be added or taken out.

Also, when you receive the watch it comes in a high quality wooden gift box that holds the watch, links, cleaning cloth, and a drawer to help keep the moisture levels correct for the watch, perfect for gift giving!

20171025_213653.jpg

I can’t wait to give this watch as a gift and see it being used for many years to come.  If you have a watch lover, a fashion lover, or a wood lover in your life, I recommend checking JORD out!

GIVEAWAY INFORMATION:

The Giveaway is open until December 19th at 11:59pm. Everyone who enters automatically gets a 25% off code emailed to them. Why not pick up a watch for you and a loved one? Did I mention that JORD has FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING? GOOD LUCK! Let me know which watch you choose!

The first beauty product I received was the Iconoclast Mega Volume Laquer Mascara from Butter London that retails for $20. I have never tried a mascara from Butter London before so I am excited. Check it out HERE.

The next beauty item is the O.R.G Skincare Mineral Peel Face with Brightening agents that retails for $44! This is a facial peel that you spray all over skin then rub your hands or a soft wash cloth in a circular motion to remove all your dead skin cells. You can visibly see the dead skin being rubbed away. After I used this my skin was super smooth and glowing! I love how quick and easy this product is and it is gentle enough to use 2-3 times a week. This is great if you have dry skin especially in the winter. Check it out HERE.

The next item I received was the Anderson Lilley Body Cream in the scent Sicillian Tangerine which retails for $24. This smells so delicious and citrusy! It is more of a summer scent but I don’t mind. It is super thick and creamy and leaves my skin feeling nice and moisturized without feeling greasy. I love the simplicity of the packaging and the fact that it is free of parabins, artificial dyes, and doesn’t test on animals. Check it out HERE.

The final item we received was a gold star pin that helps raise money for the Children’t Starlight Foundation. Find out more about the foundation HERE.

Overall the value of this box was over $253! I loved the variety of the items and all the sizes were fantastic! This box will definitely help get me ready for 2017! Don’t miss out on this box. Subscribe and save $10 HERE.

Killer Body Fitness Unboxing+ Work out Tips and Tricks!

Hey guys!

Recently I have gotten back into fitness. I grew up playing sports and dancing and have always been naturally thin. I also always had a job where I would do display work and constantly be on my feet, walking up and down ladders, and carrying heavy shelving. Last year I got my first desk job. I noticed after about 6 months that my muscle tone was decreasing and I gained about 7 pounds.

This made me realize that I needed to take matters into my own hands and focus on being happy, healthy and getting exercise in at least 2-3 times a week. I also don’t eat the healthiest so I wanted to change up my diet a bit. I can’t do that drastically as I am a very picky eater but I am trying harder to make better choices.

Check out my unboxing video below of the Killer Body Box. It is $19-$50 a month depending on what option you choose and is like a personal trainer in a box! Below my video are my tips and tricks on how I got back into fitness and what I like to do and other healthy living tricks.

Fitness:

My husband has always had a gym membership and goes regularly. I admire him for his perseverance and also his rock hard abs. I am more of a group sport or fitness type of person where I enjoy working out with others so I stay on track and it doesn’t feel like a chore. The apartment where I live has a new gym that has treadmills, ellipticals and weights. Since I don’t pay a membership to this gym I never really went to it. So in order to kick my butt into gear I went to my husband’s gym and signed up for a year long membership that way I pretty much had to go so I wouldn’t be wasting money. At first I would just go with the hubby and either lift weights or go on the elliptical. I would get anxiety being by myself and or worrying I was bothering my hubby so I didn’t really enjoy it. I then realized my gym had a ton of classes I could attend so I went to a spinning class and now I am hooked!

I do spinning 1-2 times a week and a weight lifting class another day. I HIGHLY recommend going to classes especially with a friend. Classes are great because there are people from all ages and all skill levels in them so you won’t feel out of place. I also recommend going with a friend so you can keep each other motivated and accountable. Spinning is a great class for everyone because it is low impact but great for your cardiovascular system. I have a breathing disorder that developed in high school that doesn’t allow me to run or do more intense cardio but spinning provides the burn I am looking for without making me out of breath. I love it!

I also recommend not pushing yourself until you are used to a workout. I did this with my weight class by starting out with smaller weights and building up over time. If you wear yourself out in the first 10 min of your class you aren’t going to want to continue or come back. If you start small and build up you will be able to see how strong you are getting overtime.

My husband and I also like to go on “adventures.” When it is warm we hike, play soccer, swim, and just walk around our neighborhood. This is a great way to get fresh air and your steps in without thinking that you are working out.

Since I have a desk job now I try to get as many steps in as possible. One thing I do is bring a water cup to work and try to drink the whole thing every 1-2 hours. I then walk to the fountain to fill it up and since I am drinking a lot of water I have to walk to the bathroom more often. This also helps clear my head of work I am doing that can get stressful if you are sitting and staring at it too long.

I also like to do some quick exercises in the bathroom to increase my metabolism and get my blood pumping. I try to do 100 squats a day so I do 25 squats each time I go to the bathroom until I hit 25 (don’t do this in tight pants or you might rip them…this actually happened to me haha). I then lunge my way from the front bathroom door to my stall. When I come out I do calf raises either at the sink or by the wall, again 25 each time. The last thing I do is back leg lifts, 25 each time. This might not give instant results but it will over time and also make your feel more energized.

Healthy eats:

Like I mentioned before I am not the healthiest eater, I have a weakness for cheese and potatoes, but I do try. My husband loves to cook so we usually have a dinner consisting of a meat, pasta or rice and tons of veggies. We love veggies and also drink a lot of milk. I only drink soda on the rare occasion and try not to snack after dinner anymore. I eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast and a relatively plain lunch so if I want a cheat meal of Wendy’s or Panera I usually only do it once a week. I also never deny myself ice cream.

Since I get hungry every couple of hours I keep chocolate dusted almonds at my desk at work. This keeps me from being miserable and hungry and also keeps me from reaching for vending machine food. I used to eat a fiber bar to keep me full in mornings but I found this messed with my stomach so I stopped doing that. I also found out a lot of those bars have more sugar than a candy bar! I would also recommend fruit or veggies at your desk for a nice snack. These fill you up, taste yummy and you don’t have to feel guilty eating them. When a client brings in treats for me I don’t deny myself since I will just think about it all day. I eat 1, or 2, items and then I am satisfied. Don’t deny yourself!

In conclusion it is easy to move around in your day and make healthy eating choices. I also am an advocate for eating bad now and then. I love ice cream and always reward myself with some type of food goodies when I do something good. I believe that we shouldn’t hold back when it comes to indulgences. Food is meant to be eaten and be delicious.

Fall Fabfitfun Unboxing| Worth over $200!

Follow

Hey Guys!

I recently received my Fall Fabfitfun box and SPOILER ALERT this is my FAVORITE box from Fabfitfun and maybe even ever! It has over $200 worth of full sized products and such a great variety! Fabfitfun is a seasonal/quarterly box that comes every 3 months. It is $49.99 and considered a lifestyle box. Lifestyle boxes are full of fashion, beauty, and home items. These are my favorite types of boxes at the moment! Check out my unboxing video below as well as individual reviews and links to the products.

The first item I pulled out was a Loch and Key Plaid scarf from Modcloth which retails for $34.99. This came in 4 different colors and I got the beige, white and black one. This is a blanket scarf meaning it is HUGE! It can be worn a variety of ways and also used as a lap blanket if needed. It is super thick and warm and will come in handy during the cold winter ahead. This item is super on trend and one of my top picks in this box! Check it out HERE.

The next item is a To Go Coffee mug from the Created Co. Mine says “Good Morning Gorgeous” in gold writing on the black mug. This retails for $19. This is super fun and chic at the same time. I wish that the top was able to close though. If I drank coffee I would totally be using this but I don’t but my little sister has already called dibs. She thinks it is super adorable and perfect to take to class. Check it out HERE.

Next I received a pack of colored pencils and a coloring book. Coloring is a very trendy thing to do at the moment. Usually the books are quite large and long but this one was smaller and a perfect size to throw in a purse. Usually adult coloring books stress me out but this one doesn’t! It has fun images and I can totally see myself coloring these on a plane! If I had a niece or daughter they would love this as well! Both retail for $14 and benefit the charity Pencils Of Promise.

I received 2 bonus goodies in this months box. These items don’t count towards the overall value of the box which is nice. The first item istravel size of the Secret Outlast Xtend Clear Gel Deodorant. I also got a pack of Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Wipes which are always handy. I will be using both of these.

The fitness item for the month was a grey pair of ToeSox that retail for $15. These are used for barre workouts, yoga and other exercises where you don’t wear shoes but need more grip then socks can supply. I find these interesting but not sure if I will use. I will keep them though since I am getting back into fitness and might need them. Check it out HERE.

My favorite product this month is a full sized Nude Collection Eyeshadow Pallette by Pure Cosmetics which retails for $50! So basically it’s like buying this palette and getting all the other amazing goodies for free! I don’t own any Naked by Urban Decay Palletes but I feel like this one looks like them. It even comes with a double ended brush that feels amazing. The colors are gorgeous and I can’t wait to use this! It has a mixture of matte and shimmer shades which is awesome. I was so happy to get this! See the swatches below.Check it out HERE.

Next I pulled out a French lavender Body Oil from Mulllein and Sparrow which retails for $18. The bottle is beautiful and it smells very strongly of natural lavender. To tone it down I would mix a few drops in my lotion to add the body oil sheen to my body without looking overly greasy. My Mom loves lavender so I am going to see if she would like this. Check it out HERE.

I also got a Bulgarian Rose Body Wash Infused Buffer from Spongelle which retails for $16. This is cool because it is like a sponge and body wash in one! It can be used multiple times and smells really nice and fresh. It is not overly rose scented which I appreciate. It also feels like it might do a bit of exfoliating which I enjoy. I am interested to see how it feels and how many washes I can get out of it. I wish it had some sort of string so I could hang it up when not in use. Check it out HERE.

Next I got a full sized BrowGal waterproof clear eyebrow gel which retails for $20. I love that this is waterproof and wish I would have gotten it for the summer! I don’t wear makeup when I go in the water but this would be nice on days when you want to tame your brows and also help keep them sweat proof. Check it out HERE.

The final item I got was the Restoring Night Serum from Skin Laundry and retails for $50. This is supposed to help with skin elasticity, unevenness, and firming. I might keep this for myself or pass it along to my Mom. The packaging is nice and the size is great! I love getting high end skin care in these boxes. Check it out HERE.

Overall this box was AMAZING! The sizes, variety, and products were great and I will use every single one. I can’t wait to get the Holiday box as Holiday boxes are usually the best ones! Subscribe to Fabfitfun HERE.

There is also a larger box that goes for $49+ Shipping and Handling. This is a lifestyle box full of Aspyn's Favorite beauty, skincare, and home decor and fashion accessories.

This season's theme was Back to School. Check out my video unboxing below as well as write up reviews of the products with links.

The first 2 items were sample sizes of Benefit They're Real Mascara and They're Real Mascara Primer. This is supposed to be used together to gain longer fuller lashes. The Primer is tinted brown so you could use it on more natural mascara days. I use both together and my lashes look full natural and don't clump together.

The next sample I got was Hello Extra Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste. This is just a tiny baby sample size and is natural and full of good products. It has a nice light mint flavor but I haven't noticed any whitening yet. This was nice to get to travel with but I would have liked a better sample than toothpaste.

The next item is a baby size of the Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub. This is a good scrub because it isn't too abrasive but also feels like it gets rid of any dirt or makeup on the skin. I wish this size was a little bigger though.

Next I got a bag of Goodie Girl Cookies in the flavor Quinoa Chocolate Chip. These are DELICIOUS! They are gluten free and full of good things so I didn't expect them to be good but I was wrong! I want to buy more!

Next I got a pink Zing Anything Citrus Zinger. I have the full size version of this and love it! This is just a smaller version with a flip out straw. You can infuse your water with any citrus fruit using the bottom of the bottle. I love mine and recommend it to anyone who likes to drink lemon or other fruit waters.

Next I got a Valley Cruise Press Sunset Snap Pin. This is a cool retro style pin of a hand holding a camera. Pins are very on trend at the moment so I will be putting mine on my new jean jacket.

Next I got a full sized Palmer's Flip Balm lipbalm in the flavor watermelon. This is a lipbalm that is very similar to an EOS. This on has a top that flips over to reveal the product. This feels super moisturizing on the lips and I love the packaging.

The final item I received was 1 skynICELAND Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gel. I have not used this yet but the package says it de puffs in minutes and leaves eyes looking brighter and more awake! Who doesn't need that!

Overall this box was a bit of a dud for me. It didn't pack the same punch as past boxes have. The samples were tiny and they only had 1 fashion/jewelry item. I won't be getting this one again.

Let me know down below what box I should try next! XOX Chan

How to prepare for a massage+ Aftercare tips! | featuring Massage Heights!

Follow

Hey guys!

Today I wanted to share with you a little information about the benefits of a massage, what you should do to prepare for it and how to take care of yourself afterwards to make the results last as long as possible. I received a complementary massage service from Massage Heights in return for writing a review

I am a big advocate for massages a few times a year not only for relaxation purposes, but for health benefits, mind benefits and body benefits. Getting a massage is a great way to clear your mind, recharge your muscles, and rejuvenate the soul. My ideal would be getting a massage once a month but I usually go 3-4 times a year. I usually have 2 different types of massages I like to get, full body in a traditional massage spa or a spiritual massage. I have a family friend who gives massages in her home but also aligns your chakras and recharges and cleanses your aura. I love these types but I know they aren’t for everyone. In this post I will be talking about your traditional massage.

Massages can be expensive so instead of wasting money trying to find a good masseuse in my area I like to go on LivingSocial or Groupon and search for massage places in my area at a deep discount. This way I can try the place out without breaking the bank and if they are great I will feel better about paying the full price.

I recently got a massage at Massage Heights in the Cleveland area (check out their locations here) and it was amazing! Massage Heights has such a nice airy atmosphere. It feels like a luxurious spa! The lobby is well lit with comfortable seating, walls of products and friendly staff! They not only offer massages but also facials,  and add ons to their services. I went in for an hour massage and was able to add on either a face massage, foot scrub, or hot stone massage. I have never gotten a hot stone massage so I chose this option. My masseuse was super nice and gave a great massage. She used the stones to deep massage my body then left them on pressure points until they cooled. I was worried they would be too hot but they weren't. They never felt too hot or uncomfortable. You also get free aromatherapy with every service. You can choose from 4 different scents: lavender, eucalyptus, lemongrass, and citrus. I chose eucalyptus. This scent wafted through my room and kept me relaxed and refreshed. I highly recommend checking out Massage Heights and if you are in the Cleveland Area I recommend the Strongsville location.

To prepare for a massage I like to get there 15 min early. This allows me to sign in, introduce myself to the masseuse and let them know about any needs I have. You don’t want to get there late or right on time as this can cut into your overall massage time. I like to have a few min to get undressed and clear my head before it begins so arriving early really helps. I also recommend eating before you go. When you are relaxed your body will digest better so if you go on an empty stomach it might growl during the quiet relaxing time. If this doesn’t bother you that is fine but it distracts me so I try to eat beforehand. Plus if you are hungry you won’t be able to get as relaxed as you want. Also make sure you go to the bathroom before. You don’t want to interrupt your session or be distracted holding it for the whole time.

I also advise not wearing makeup if you can. You will be face down for a lot of the massage and getting makeup all over your face and the towels isn’t going to help with your relaxation. I like to go with a clean face, hair in a ponytail and out of the way and shaved legs. Don’t feel like you have to shave beforehand but I always feel better about myself when I know the person isn’t feeling my prickly hairs while they are rubbing my legs. Sometimes they will even massage the face or scalp so not wearing makeup or having your hair done will help you not worry about messing anything up. I also wouldn’t wear jewelry as necklaces can get in the way of a neck massage, earrings can get caught in hair, rings can get in the way of a hand massage and bracelets can move around when getting an arm massage.

I also advise wearing comfortable loose clothing before and after the massage. You don’t want to struggle getting undressed before or put tight restricting clothes on after. You want to stay in that relaxed state of mind for as long as possible. I like to wear, depending on the season, leggings, a sweatshirt and t shirt. I try to make sure I take the rest of the day to relax so that I don’t worry about looking like a slob.

Once you are in your room strip down to a comfortable level. You can keep your bra and underwear on if you are more comfortable but just remember they are going to rub your back so the bra might get in the way. I keep my underwear on and that’s it. I find that the less the masseuse has to move out of the way the better the massage.

Usually they will ask but make sure you let them know about any injures, sore or tender spots or just anywhere you would like them to focus on. It is their job to help your body recover so don’t be afraid to speak up. I always tell them to focus on my back and shoulders. They will still do your full body but will focus a little more time and attention to these areas. They also ask what type of pressure you would like whether it is light to heavy. I like a medium level and find this works my muscles enough without over working them. Also during the massage let them know if the pressure is wrong or something hurts. They aren’t able to feel what you are feeling and are trained to adjust when you say something.

Don’t worry if you fall asleep. A lot of people do and the masseuse is trained to keep going. Afterwards make sure you sit up slowly as you have been laying a while and your circulation has been moved around. If you get up too fast you might feel dizzy and lightheaded. Since the massage moved around your lymph nodes and flushed toxins out of your body make sure you drink a ton of water the rest of the day. This will help release all the toxins and make your muscles relaxed longer.

After a massage I try to stay as relaxed as possible the rest of the day if I can. I go home and lounge around and try not to do anything too physical. I want my mind and body to rest as long as it can.

I highly recommend looking into getting a massage. The benefits are fantastic and you won’t regret it! Check out Massage Heights HERE

FabFitFun Unboxing | July 2016 Worth over $228!

Follow

Hey Guys!

Today I am unboxing my July Fab Fit Fun box! This is a seasonal box that retails for $49.99 and always promises over $100 in goodies! The summer box contains 7 full sized items with 2 bonus sample sized items. The items in this box are perfect for a summer getaway, the beach or the pool!

The first item is the full sized FabFitFun Everyday Beach Waves Spray. This stuff smells really light and fresh and provides a light hold and gives your hair texture. It also conditions and protects strands. Because I have super long straight hair wave sprays don't work for me. I did use this by braiding my damp hair after spraying this. When I took the braids out in the morning I had nice mermaid type waves that weren't crunchy. I'm a fan! This retails for $18. Check it out HERE

The next item was the Betchsicles Ice Pop Molds. These retail for $19. These are champagne shaped Popsicle molds that can be used to make regular popsicles or boozy ones! There are 6 total. I haven't used these yet but I can't wait! If you are a Mom I think kids would like them as well! Just use fruit juice and stick some gummy bears inside. So fun! Check them out HERE

The next item is the Stemulation Daily Micro Derm Scrub. This bottle is huge and retails for $34! This is a face and body microdermabrasion scrub that is gentle and is supposed to brighten, and energize your skin. I love this stuff! It has a nice clean fresh scent and makes my skin feel soft and glowy! It is great to use before self tanning in order to get a smooth even tan. It also takes off dry skin cells to reveal smooth soft skin. Check it out HERE. Use code FFF20 for 20% off through 10/01/16.

The next beauty item was a full sized Passport to Beauty Gypset Luminus LipGloss in the color Berry Free Spirit. This retails for $18. This is rich in vitamin E and antioxidants to give lips  high shine look. It has glitter in it but leaves looking super glossy and tinted berry. It also smells great! This isn't too sheer or too opaque. It gives a nice tint and doesn't leave lips sticky. Check it out HERE. Use code FFFSAVE for 20% off through 10/01/16.

The next skincare item is the Osea Atomosphere Protection Cream. This is full sized and retails for $48. This is a lightweight moisturizer that protects your skin from damage, dryness, and leaves skin matte. It can also be blended into foundation to cream your own CC cream! I haven't used this yet because I only use day creams with SPF in them. I think it is important to always wear SPF on your face daily. I might use this at night once my current night cream runs out but it does feel super light and soft. Check it out HERE.

The next item is a Summer and Rose Yoga Towel that retails for $36. There were 3 different colors we could have gotten and the one I got was orange and says "Dream Big". These are yoga towels that can be used on top of your yoga mat or used during a workout. Check them out HERE

The next item is a Trina Turk Canvas Tote bag that retails for $55. You could have gotten 3 color and the one I got was yellow and says "Sunshine and Saltwater". These have a cute nautical braided rope handle and are the perfect pool or beach bag! Check it out HERE. Use code FFF2016 to get $50 off a purchase over $250 through 9/01/16.

The final items were just samples of the Burt's Bees BB Cream and the Cleansing Oil.

Overall I thought the value of this box was amazing! The sizes of the items were awesome and the variety of items was spot on! Get your Fall box HERE.

Aspyn Ovard Subscription Unboxing + Review! | Worth over $80!

Follow

Hey Guys!

Today I am unboxing and reviewing my Summer Aspyn Ovard box. This is a quarterly lifestyle subscription box that is $25 and has a high value in each box. There is also a bigger option for $49. Check it out HERE.

This month's box contains 10+ items of a great variety. I received her spring box a couple month's and it was awesome! Check it out HERE.

The first 2 items we received were full sized Zoya Nail Polishes worth $22 together. The first was a color called "Aspyn" that Aspyn created for her box. It is a neon coral color that is perfect for summer! It is going on my nails next! Check out my Instagram for nail pics HERE. I love Zoya polishes because the formula is long lasting and they are free of all the bad stuff. The other polish is a Glossy Top Coat from the Naked collection. This gives my nails amazing shine, dries quickly and stays shiny longer than other top coats. Check it out HERE.

The next item was a full sized Pixi Lengthy Fiber Mascara worth $16. This mascara has long fibers in it that are supposed to adhere to lashes to give them a longer look. Usually fiber mascaras have tiny fibers that are a bit messy when applied so I was intrigued that this one didn't. Unfortunatley I didn't like this. The fibers were lash length and didn't seem to stick to my lashes like tiny fibers do. My lashes didn't look much longer or fuller. Check it out HERE.

The next item was a Caolion HOT & COLD Pore Pack Duo (Deluxe) worth $8. This is a double pack of masks where one is used to exfoliate and deep clean while the other is used to hydrate. This product is a great concept. You apply the "warming" mask first for 5-10 minutes and then apply the "cooling" mask after for 5-10 minutes. Both went on super easy and rinsed off clean. I didn't notice any pore tightness or shrinkage but my face was super soft and smooth afterwards. Check it out HERE.

The first jewelry item in the box was a pair of gold Pineapple Stud Earrings worth $8. These are super cute and I love them! They aren't statement earrings but also aren't dainty. I like to wear them when my hair is up for a little quirky touch. I am not sure who makes them but they also didn't irritate my ears. Find similar HERE.

We also received a Kitsch Happy thoughts Vegan Leather Patch worth $6. This is an adhesive smiley face patch that can be put on technology, accessories, or clothing. I stuck mine on my laptop and it holds really well! Check it out HERE.

The next jewelry item was a gold Multi- Chain Anklet worth $8. This is a cool concept and would be awesome for a beach or beach wedding. I have no use for it at the moment but will hold onto it in case I need it one day.  Check out similar HERE.

We also received a Pineapple Ice Tray worth $7. This is so adorable! It is a bright yellow silicone pineapple shaped tray that makes ice cubes in the shape of pineapples. I already have a million ice cube trays so I am giving this to my sister. If I had kids I feel like this would be a fun thing for them. Check out similar HERE.

The final items in the box were 3 Crayola Markers and an Art Print Valued at $2. The print looks like the prints that are in adult coloring books. I probably won't be using it since adult coloring books give me anxiety so I will be passing this along to my sister.

We also receieved a $10 Gift Voucher to Buddy Scrub. This is a website that sells different body scrubs. I checked the prices and they seem to range from $12 to $18. I am not sure yet if I will be picking one up yet. Check them out HERE.

Overall I thought this box had a great variety of items and a great value. I am starting to like lifestyle boxes more and more since you get a mixture of home, beauty, and jewelry items.

What is your favorite subscription box?

Easy Spring Cleaning on a Budget!| Tips on Selling Clothes and Tidying up Your Life!

Hey Guys!

Spring is here so like everyone else I am ready to purge my home of the heavy winter decor, and clothes and have a fresh start. I don't know how Spring Cleaning became a thing but I can tell you that living in Cleveland Ohio I don't even want to think about deep cleaning carpets or floors until I am sure that we won't be dealing with salted roads anymore since this seems to cover my entryway during the winter. I also don't want to put away any of my heavier clothing until I am 100% sure that it will stay warm.

Since I have been living on my own since college, I try to cleanse and clean my apartment at least 3-4 times a year. This usually occurs in January for the New Year, in March for the Spring, and then usually either the end of the summer or early fall to make way for the cooler weather.

Spring Cleaning to me isn't always about the home but also the closet, mind, and body. I think at the start of every season it is best to kind of reflect and start over fresh for the next season. I usually spend a whole weekend getting the bulk of the cleaning out of the way so that the project doesn't burden me for too long.

The first thing I do is deep clean my apartment. Now I always clean my apartment, but I, like anyone else, am not always thorough with my cleaning. I make sure to mop all the floors, dust all the shelves and clean up any extra Holiday décor that may be left over. I also use this time to organize my stuff in a way that might be better looking and more convenient. I love the Dollar Tree for organizers. They have a ton of options for bins and dividers in many colors. I use the brightly colored ones below my kitchen counter to hold cleaning supplies and other necessities. Before they were in there, everything was kind of a mess. Now, I can easily slide one of these bins out and get to the supplies inside or the ones stored behind. For $1 they are a great buy!

I love to organize the little random things around my apartment as well and have found many glass bowls, trays, and other things at Goodwill. My favorite items to decorate and organize with are the beautiful antique glass dishes and bowls that I can always find at Goodwill. I love how they don't match and add just a bit of personality to the space. I also found a cute tray at Goodwill which helps to organize remotes and other coffee table essentials. Keep your eye out for these finds because not only are they unique but also inexpensive!

Once my apartment is clean I move on to my closet. Like any other woman I have way to many clothes. I keep it pretty organized but sometimes get a little lazy with my folding. I also like to keep it color coordinated as this helps me pick out outfits in a pinch. To better organize my closet I purchased a buildable cube organizer from Bed Bath and Beyond. I love it because it not only holds fabric cubes that can store my belts and travel essentials but also shoes. I also have hanging shoe and purse organizers. These can also be found at Bed Bath and Beyond and are an inexpensive way to organize and save space. I make sure that my folded piles in my closet and dresser are organized by type of piece and neatly stacked so I can see all of my items. I got some amazing drawer organizers off of Amazon that organize my bras, underwear and socks that I will link below. I feel that the underwear drawer is one of the messiest and most disorganized drawers in a bedroom and these help tremendously.

Do you have a Plato's closet or a similar store in your area? If you don't know what Plato's closet is here's the scoop. It is a store where you can sell your gently worm clothing and they pay you cash on the spot! They don't pay out very much since they sell the clothes at inexpensive prices but you will make more money then just donating it! I recently sold some clothing and jewelry items and made $23! Last time I made $40! If you don't have one in your area look for consignment shops. These take your clothes for a period of time (usually 30-90 days) and if the item sells you can make a percentage of the sale. After I sold my items at Plato's I took the remaining items to my local consignment shop and they took everything. If the items don't sell they usually give them back or they are donated.

My advice for selling clothes is sell in-season clothes. I know this seems counteractive since at the end of winter you would probably clean out your winter clothes but the stores are going into the next season so they want to buy things they can sell now! No one is really looking for thick sweaters and coats in April. So look through the items you wore last year and think "Am I still going to wear this this year?"

Here is my strategy for selling clothes: I go through all my clothes for the upcoming season and make piles. Anything old and very warn goes straight in the donation pile. Anything that is cute or name brand goes in the sell pile. Make sure if you are selling the items they are free of wrinkles and are clean, many shops won't even look at wrinkled items. I then go to Plato's closet first because they pay cash on the spot. Anything that is left over I take to my local consignment shop to wait for a profit. The rest of the items that are left over go straight to Goodwill. I love Goodwill because every time you donate they give you a 20% coupon! I have so many and use them every time! They also give you a receipt so you can use them to deduct from your taxes.

Once my spaces are cleaned out I focuses on myself. I try to drink more water everyday, keep up with my hygiene routine and just focus on myself. Now when I say hygiene routine I don't mean start to shower haha I mean focus on my skin care and get back to taking care of it if I fell off the wagon. I have also recently started yoga and find that this helps me after a long day and doesn't make me sweaty or stinky which is a perfect workout for everyday. I also take time to hang out more with my husband, family and friends.

A book that I would really recommend reading if you want to get motivated is The Life-changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. I have it on my Kindle and it teaches you about organizing and getting rid of the clutter in your life. I think as humans we accumulate so many things we forget that we don't need all of it to be happy. This book kind of pushes you to purge the extras in your life so you can focus on the important items.

What do you focus on for Spring Cleaning? XOX Chan

How to EARN and SAVE Money Online! | Shopping+ Surveys! (Free things Bonus!)

Hey Guys!

Today I am going to talk to you about how I earn money online whether through shopping or surveys and what you earn back from these sites! I highly recommend all of these sites as I have gotten the most out of each one.

Shopping:

  • Ebates: Ebates is a website that pays you a percentage of money back when you shop online through their website. The percentage varies by website and sometimes they have coupon codes on their site! The easy way for me to remember to use Ebates is I downloaded the bar icon so that whenever I am on a website that supports Ebates it notifies me by blinking in the bar. I then click it and once I place my order I automatically get the money back in my account. I have been using Ebates for 2 years and have earned a total of $17.36 so far. I don't shop that much online but it is nice to earn money back. You can cash out using a check that they send you.  Plus when you sign up you automatically get a $10 giftcard to a retailer of your choice! Sign up HERE

  • Coupon Cabin: This is the newest site to me but basically the same as Ebates. It gives you a percentage back for online purchases and also has coupon codes. This one doesn't seem to be linked to as many sites or give as great of a percentage back though. I do have this in my bar as well to notify me so sometimes I can double up with Ebates and Coupon Cabin. Also if the site doesn't take your coupon that Coupon Cabin gave you then Coupon Cabin will pay you back! I have only had this happen to me once. I have been using Coupon Cabin for 2 months. I have earned back $1.94. Sign up HERE

  • Honey and Honey Gold: This is also a website I put in my bar at the top of my screen. This one focuses mainly on coupons at checkout. When I am in the checkout screen it will light up if there is a code out. I will click it and then it will automatically insert any coupon code it can find and give me the one that saves the most money. I love it! Also if you sign up for Honey Gold it will earn you money back on your purchase as well. Not all purchases qualify for Honey Gold but it will let you know. I have been using Honey for 6 months. Sign up HERE

  • Ibotta: This is not a website but an App. I mainly use it when I grocery shop but I just recently discovered it can be used at clothing stores and restaurants! Basically it has almost every major retailer on it and if you buy an item from their store that is on the app they will give you money back for buying it! usually $.25 to $1.00 but I have seen some deals at up to $5! I shop at Giant Eagle so when I get home I go through the grocery items in the app and anything that I bought I will scan the barcode and earn the money back! It is linked to my Giant Eagle card so it knows if I actually bought the item. I also did this recently at Target and they just had me scan my receipt and I earned money back on detergent! I have been using Ibotta for 1 year. I have earned back $18.00. Sign up HERE

Earn Money and Stuff: (Free things)

  • Opinion Outpost: This is my #1 Survey sight! I have made a decent amount off of it and have also gotten a few products sent for me to try out. This is a website that sends you surveys based on your demographic. Usually they pay $.25-$20 and can last form 1 minute to an hour. They are always different. Some have videos, some are interactive, some are quick, and some are intense and in depth. Sometimes you will start a survey and after a few questions it will exit out and tell you that you didn't meet the demographic. This can be frustrating but there are so many other surveys. I have also had them send me hair care, toothpaste, makeup and other stuff to test and they will follow up and pay you. I have bought a bedroom set, a Michael Kors bag and many other things using the money I made from this website. It is awesome! I have been using this for 2 years. I have earned over $300. Sign up HERE:

  • Crowdtap: This is a website that you can earn money and free stuff from as well. Basically each month you take quick surveys that earn you points. Each survey is 1 question long. At the end of the month these points go into a drawing and you can earn giftcards! Usually these are $5-$10 Amazon giftcards but once I won a $25 Sephora giftcard! Because you earn points from each brand, you can earn multiple giftcards! I earned 3 in one month before! Crowdtap also sends you items to test such as hair care, makeup, skincare, and food. I love it! I have been using it for 5 years. I have earned over $100. Sign up HERE

Just free things:

  • Influenster: This is my favorite site to get free items. You don't have to fill out any surveys or anything. Basically this site matches you up with brands that are launching new products whether it be beauty, food, wedding, or kid related. If you fit what the company is looking for they will send you a "Voxbox" full of goodies and they are usually full sized! I focus mainly on beauty so I have gotten full sized YSL, Rimmel, Sally Hansen and other products. If you want to see some unboxings check out my Youtube. In order to keep receiving the items you must review the ones you get on your social media. I think it is so worth it. Sign up HERE

  • Ocotly: This is the most recent site I have signed up for. If you are a Youtuber I would recommend signing up. They send you products based on your channel to test out completely free! Also you can earn points towards an Amazon or Sephora giftcard! Sign up HERE

I hope this helped some of you earn some extra money or earn free products!

Let me know of any other sites you guys have used or heard of. Also, did you sign up for any of these??? XOX Chan
